A strong all-round performance from our U15A side against Chatham, with the boys working hard for one another and earning a well-deserved clean sheet.
Great to see the team continuing to develop and represent the school so positively
As we return from half term, we're looking back on some of the highlights from a fantastic term so far.
From performances and sporting successes to memorable events and everyday moments, it's been a brilliant start to the year for our students.
Every Year 7 student has the opportunity to benefit from free, 1:1 instrumental music lessons. We also offer free music lessons through our music scholarships, opening up even more opportunities for talented young musicians.
Here, our Year 7 students receive their instruments!

A little glimpse into Textiles Club... Just one of the 60+ clubs and activities on offer at DOYRMS, where there’s always something new to try, discover and enjoy.
Rehearsals are well underway for our February musical, The Wedding Singer! Performing arts offers plenty of opportunities to get involved, from drama, dance and music to backstage roles in sound, lighting and costumes, students discover the many skills that go into a production.
The end of the half term saw our 1st XV put in a superb performance at the Eltham Festival, making it all the way to the final and coming agonisingly close to taking the win.
We were honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal to DOYRMS in her role as Royal Patron. During her visit, she met students and staff and attended our annual Beret Parade, formally presenting ceremonial berets to our newest Year 7 Dukies.

With around 8,000 books, from much-loved fiction to subject-specific resources, there’s something to support every interest and stage of learning within our library. Our students make the most of it during lunchtimes, free time and as part of their English lessons.
Students recently enjoyed a Brass and Woodwind Workshop with professional trombonist Paul Fisher, whose career has seen him perform, tour and record with artists including Madness.
A wonderful afternoon of theatre for our Year 10–13 students, who thoroughly enjoyed Bacchae, in a new version by Nima Taleghani, produced by the National Theatre in partnership with The Marlowe Theatre.
It was lovely to see so many students smiling and engaged.
A lovely afternoon at Football Club! The girls had a great time getting stuck in, enjoying their football and making the most of the sunny afternoon.
Here are a few of our favourite shots from the session.
A great first parade of the new school year, and a particularly special one for our new students taking part in their first ever parade.
A morning in the Science Lab where students watched a demonstration of alkali metals reacting with water, with plenty of “wow” moments along the way! A great opportunity to bring science to life, spark curiosity and see chemical reactions in action.
