Eddie Garcia

Had to wait for my son’s permission or he would’ve killed me….but….Why end my law enforcement career with @DallasPD now? Because when I got the special call, and then this shirt from my son and daughter in-law….Well, it was clear…..I knew I had reached my highest rank..

We will never forget @DallasPD Darron Burks ultimate sacrifice, and the legacy he left behind. But we will also never forget the bravery of our wounded, Karissa and Jamie, as they faced evil without hesitation for their brother officer. Honored to visit with Jamie today…. I asked him what he wanted to do next….. his response…. “Chief, I wanna catch crooks.” That answer may surprise some….but not me. Special department, special officers.

I’ll be out here a while today! Always a special time at @StateFairOfTX with @DallasPD Mounted Unit @TacticalDPD…….

Horses later… but first at tour of @StateFairOfTX and the Cotton Bowl, getting ready for next weekend, with my friend and The LEGEND, Pete Schenkel! Best day of the year! @DallasPD

Thank you for the opportunity of allowing me to give a proper farewell to the men and women of @DallasPD @ato_divide, meant the world to this cop. I appreciate you more than you can understand.

That’s a wrap…. Great work tonight @DallasPD, and all of the @CityOfDallas departments who together make Dallas better…. And THANK YOU to all of our neighborhoods …. For the amazing partnership! And a great night!…..National Night Out!

Next stop!…..@DallasPD ….National Night Out! Common theme at these so far is….. GREAT MUSIC!

Never will forget National Night Out with our community and @DallasPD …. First of a few stops tonight . I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the love. 💯 mutual! Together we are truly stronger!

I’m an old school chief @DallasPD …however, I didn’t ask for this…But, hopefully he won’t be late to detail again…. We’ve ALL been there young man, great work! And yes, he busted those 50 out like a boss! To be young again…..

Great way to spend a Friday afternoon. Visited with a @DallasPD hero today, Senior Corporal Karissa David. One of the strongest women I’ve ever met. She has an unbelievable spirit, and sense of humor. Amazing, an absolute warrior!! Please read below…..

Incredibly honored. I cannot thank @NancyLieberman enough. For a kid from San Juan, Puerto Rico that didn’t know how to speak English when he got to the mainland…to receive the Toby Keith American Hero award, that would not have been possible if not for the amazing men and women of the @DallasPD….anything is possible …Best country in the world!
