Do you know who coined the word "Fiber optics"?
Fortune named him one of seven "Unsung Heroes of the 20th Century" for his Nobel Prize-deserving invention.
He is called the father of Fiber optics
He is Narinder Singh Kapany whose birth anniversary is on 31st October (1926).
His ground-breaking research in optics revolutionized high-speed global telecommunications, medical imaging, solar energy, and modern data infrastructure.
He was conferred the Padma Vibhushan in 2021.
Let's remember and applaud this pioneering Indian scientist

Don't want to get into political debate on IDBI.
But having seen Fairfax group working and the way they take care of people, IDBI employees should be happy about having such a shareholder. Take a look at all the companies they are involved and see how employees have benefited

Rapid change is disturbing but noticeable. So we take action.
Gradual change is easy to miss. By the time we notice, there may not be much we can do.
#HRSutra 1584: "Being Human" means
1. Being fine with mistakes. Human perfection is a myth.
2. Less than maximum efficiency. Machines run at 100% efficiency. Not humans
3. Wisdom not intelligence will be valued.
4. Compassion.
AI can be anything. But not humans.
We need not fear AI if we start valuing Human presence.

Kodinhi is a small village in Kerala's Malappuram district that is famous as India's "Twin Town" because of its unusually high rate of twin births.
Home to an estimated 400 to 550 pairs of twins among roughly 2,000 families, meaning nearly 20% of the population consists of twins.
Scientific teams from India and abroad (including CSIR-CCMB and international researchers) have studied the village's DNA, saliva, and water/soil samples, but have not found a proven genetic or environmental cause.
Women from Kodinhi who marry and move to other areas continue to give birth to twins, and outside women who move into the village also begin having twins.
Residents have formed India's first association for twins, the Twins and Kins Association (TAKA), in 2008 to track records and support families.
