It was so much fun to help out with Australia's first large zero-g flight experiment. Hopefully the first of many.

Could be worse. First time I went to Manchester I tried to fly to London first because, as an Australian, I never thought the British would have multiple international airports in a country the size of a shopping mall.

One of the things that AI slop is revealing about the scientific literature is how much of the non-AI stuff was slop already.

The CAC Avon Sabre 🇦🇺🔥26% more thrust than the F-86F, 30% greater climb rate, mad acceleration and two 30mm ADEN cannon replacing six .50 cals. Add Sidewinders and four hardpoints. Australian Sabres were absolute beasts

All the people screeching about the Tesla Roadster flying car demo don't get it.
Nobody thinks this is going to be a practical flying car sold to the mass market, and you just look like a fool debating it.
Elon doesn't, Tesla doesn't, the engineers working on it don't, and any sensible public or Tesla investor doesn't.
They know they aren't going to sell more than a handful or them or whatever for funsies, that's why it's literally "invite only" on the order page.
There is absolutely no sensible business decision to spend 7 years working on this, they know it's going to be a negative return on investment. Heck, if they do get sold there is high likelihood it's going to get someone killed, and that's really bad for business. Just the normal rear Thrust version is probably going to kill people.
But they do it anyway for the reasons this poster on the EEVblog forum said. No wonder engineers fall over themselves to work for an Elon company.
Goodbye leap seconds.
You will not be missed.

It's Halloween season again and as a mathematician I'm obliged to post this. I don't make the rules
Reviewer 2 can't hurt me after getting @FiPanther to read my grant proposal.
I, for one, am looking forward to getting rid of leap seconds. They're a daft idea.
