There’s also the likelihood that the people working on the games looked at the data, saw NWT wasn’t used much after people beat the story, and scrapped it in future entries instead of thinking “Maybe people would play it if there could go online”

With Naruto in particular:
Storm 4 was a mess behind the scenes (this is documented and objectively true) and Connections allegedly a salvage job built off a canceled Storm 5, so there was likely more important shit to get done in both situations.

There are also multiple companies involved in these games besides the developer & publisher (Naruto has 2, for example), so “just delay it” isn’t actually a viable option unless shit’s actually going wrong. Delays can be expensive as hell.

Assuming that NWT isn’t vibecoded trash here, actual developers need to get shit done within a specific timeframe. Modders don’t have that limitation, so they can add shit at their leisure and put it out when it’s done.

I should not look at an All’s Justice post and see more people complaining about ultra rumble than All’s Justice
Some of you guys only talk about All’s Justice in reference to Ultra Rumble and it finally makes sense why complaints about the game don’t feel as widespread as they should. I can’t really blame Bandai for assuming no one cares about the game.
