The Dallas Police Department’s certified Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Enforcement Officers participated in the Los Originales Trokeros Perrones Truckers Appreciation Event on October 25, bringing law enforcement and the trucking community together to promote safety, educate, and strengthen important community partnerships.
The event provided a valuable opportunity to build trust between law enforcement and the commercial trucking industry. CMV officers conducted a mock Level II commercial vehicle inspection, providing truck drivers and owners with an opportunity to learn about inspection procedures, common safety violations, and commercial vehicle regulations. Officers also answered questions and clarified common misconceptions about CMV enforcement.
DPD remains committed to enhancing roadway safety through education, proactive enforcement, and community engagement. By working collaboratively with commercial vehicle operators, our certified CMV Enforcement Officers promote regulatory compliance, reduce the risk of traffic crashes, and enhance public safety throughout the City of Dallas.
The Dallas Police Department extends its appreciation to the organizers and the trucking community for their invitation, warm hospitality, and shared commitment to roadway safety.
Together, we can make Dallas roads safer for everyone.
Today and every day, we are grateful for the dedicated service our first responders provide to the City of Dallas!
