Is today the day Moran gets his first start in the Championship this season? Preston desperately need something positive and he always tries to be when he gets on the ball. #pnefc lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre… Far too easy for Stoke. Another 'relegation' performance. Real unsurprising anger at the end by a section of our fans. Not see that level since, well, our last relegation. #pnefc @DanMurff @BBCLancsSport

The Tim Mercer column - a Hallowe'en horror show

It was a hallowe’en nightmare for North End as they were well beaten 2-0 by Stoke City on Saturday.

Preston were outplayed by a better team. One that didn't give them hardly any chance to win the ball up the pitch. But was Alexander's decision to change the formation after things finally seemed to click a wise one? #pnefc lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

Full-time. 2-0. Iversen to thank for the score not being much worse. A huge backwards step after last weekend's supposed turning point. #pnefc lep.co.uk/sport/football/pre…

Another great Iversen save stops it from being three.

Great save from Iversen after Storey allows the ball to go past him and Stoke rush through.

Moran and Erabi on for Burgzorg and Lang.

Leroy is caught on the ball just outside the box. Stoke work it well and McGlynn drags it in past Iversen.

There it is. 2-0. McGlynn.

All Stoke this. A second goal doesn't feel far away.
259
Graham a whisker away from putting Stoke two up at a corner.
270
Sorry. Still 4-2-3-1 but Burgzorg behind Kenny. Small on the right and Lang on the left.
228
Potts to make way.
244
Small coming on at the break.

Change of shape hasn't worked but I wonder if the 3-4-1-2 would either given how much Stoke are sitting off. Need more of Leroy on the ball and running at the back-line and Kenny getting in-behind.
247
Lang has worked hard on the left and managed to get a few crosses in, but he hasn't been pacier enough to make the rare counters work. Burgzorg hardly touched the ball other than when a pass back to Vukcevic played PNE into trouble. Kenny isolated.
