HMRC puts 200 billionaires on UK tax crackdown hitlist.
Hardly any enablers of tax dodge schemes prosecuted. They get govt contracts.
Little transparency of trusts, offshore excursions.
Publish tax returns of large companies, super rich.
Levy exit tax.

Spot on from Darren Jones, Labour MP for Bristol North West.
76% of us want to see Royal Mail in public hands.
Privatised Royal Mail is a dismal failure. Stamp prices go up while reliability goes down.
And now they want to cut 2,500 backroom jobs by the end of next year.
TAKE IT BACK.

Painful' years ahead, as living standards set to fall.
Household disposable income to fall by £1,050 or 3% by 2029.
That is a political choice.
1% have more wealth than 70% of the population combined.
Redistribution is off the political agenda.

Almost 90% of England's water companies are still acting illegally, still dumping huge amounts of sewage into our environment.
“People are sick of excuses,” screams Dame Angela Eagle. We've heard it all before and yet nothing, nothing changes.
One interesting note "The UK is one of only two countries in the world where the provision of water is fully privatised. The other is Chile, where water privatisation was imposed in the 1980s by a military dictatorship." Hmm? 🤔

TODAY Thames Water's creditors are deciding on whether or not to hand over an eye-watering £2.4 billion loan to the utility.
A £2.4 billion lifeline for a company which has run our infrastructure into the ground and filled our rivers with sewage.
No more bailouts at our expense.
Let them go bust!

Thames Water creditors to decide on new £2.4bn loan.
If agreed, it could add £40 to each household bill.
Previously TW secured £3.4bn at 9.75% interest rate.
One-third of customer bill covers debt costs.
Lenders eye ballout, higher bills to make money.

Thames Water’s creditors have a deadline today. They need to decide whether to hand over a £2.4 billion loan to keep the utility afloat for another 12 months.
Today we're presenting a petition with 30,000 signatures calling on Andy Burnham and Ofwat to block the bailout.
Their credit rating was downgraded on Monday. They're a liability. Let them go bust!

Young people don't need a tough approach. They need decent opportunities, patience, and support. We also need investment across the board... and an end to stimatization. Only then will the welfare bill start to fall.

I’m super conscious that media people, the industry I come from, think it’s extreme to post and focus this much on climate change.
But science says this could potentially be catastrophic for the whole world.
There has never ever been a threat on this scale.
Even nuclear war - climate collapse in a worst case scenario, scientists say, would take significantly longer to recover from, potentially thousands of years.
How can it be that so few media folk understand, care, engage or speak about this?

The privatised Royal Mail is in crisis. It should be brought back into public control to deliver for the people, not for profiteers.
It's welcome that a range of colleagues including @darrenpjones spoke up on the issue this week.

People not permanently resident in the UK or paying taxes subverting UK politics.
What have they been promised in return?
