"they" are not demolishing Bird studio. it is fully owned by the toriyama family not toei or shueshia. they are likely demolishing it because Toriyama was a huge privacy advocate and did not want people visiting here, as well the family is burdened by the inheritance tax as well as fees and upkeep costs for an unused and vacant studio. this is very likely the wishes of his family.
