More proof of the complete absurdity of the proscription of Palestine Action. What a stain on this government that people in this country are unable to buy and enjoy the work of one of this generation’s greatest writing talents. De-proscribe Palestine Action now.

Look at Nepal. This Is Climate Injustice. Many friends here in #Geneva have come forward with sadness, asking about our families and friends in Nepal. A few said something that stayed with me: “We are the ones who played with nature. I could cycle to the gym, but I drive my car.” I do the same. That is awareness. Yet when I wrote about climate injustice and Nepal’s devastating floods, climate sceptics rushed to troll me. Wake up, guys. Look at Nepal. Glaciers destabilise. Rivers rage. Mountains collapse. Communities disappear within minutes. We cut forests, carve mountains, pollute rivers, burn fossil fuels and heat the atmosphere, then call the consequences “natural disasters.” Nature is not separate from us. Imagine damaging your lungs, blood and kidneys every day, then acting surprised when your body reacts. That is what we are doing to the planet. And the cruelest part? #Nepal contributed almost nothing to the climate crisis, yet Nepalis are paying for it with lives, homes and livelihoods. This is not only climate change. This is climate injustice. #ClimateJustice #NepalFloods #Nepal #ClimateChange

Our hearts are with the people of Nepal as they endure this devastating tragedy. Behind every life lost or still missing is a family, a community and a future changed forever. We stand in solidarity with all those grieving, searching for loved ones, and beginning the painful task of rebuilding. Sending our deepest condolences, love and solidarity to the people of Nepal. In times of such profound loss, may we remember that our humanity knows no borders. @fossiltreaty @global_artivism @RikyRickFdn  #NepalFloods #Solidarity #ClimateJustice

Today’s ruling to uphold the UK government's proscription of Palestine Action is a travesty of justice. One by one, the very foundations of our democracy are being destroyed — all to oil the wheels of British complicity in genocide. Our government has participated in the mass murder of Palestinians. That is the real crime, and we must bring about justice.

Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury

I know there is a lot of news around but can someone at the Beeb explain to me how a man they keep telling us might be the next PM getting an undisclosed donation of FIVE MILLION POUNDS from a Thai based crypto dealer (with a BS explanation about it being for lifelong security) is not even a news story when the man he wants to replace led the news for days over some glasses and Arsenal tickets?

While the govt seeks to stop rights to jury trials, 500 arrested at Palestine Action protest despite initial court ruling its ban is unlawful. Reminder: ⁦@CIVICUSMonitor⁩ rated the UK as ‘obstructed’ on civic freedoms, same as Orban’s Hungary. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp38…

I was with Ipswich Town for 13 years and I don’t remember a single politician ever being hosted by the club. #ITFC can’t say they are proud to be inclusive, diverse and welcoming then host someone that is completely against those values?
Following Monday’s visit by the Reform party and its leader, Nigel Farage, the club would like to issue the following statement: Ipswich Town Football Club has, over several years, hosted representatives from a range of political parties. The club remains apolitical and does not support or endorse any individual or party. The club will continue to engage with representatives from across the political spectrum as part of its role within the community. Ipswich Town is proud to be an inclusive, diverse, and welcoming organisation that supports all members of the local and wider community. This commitment remains unchanged.

Politics and football don’t mix? Tell that to Ipswich’s players, who are not happy about Farage’s visit. What a mess, and many tough questions still to answer: theguardian.com/football/202… #ITFC
