5️⃣ @nicodevs demonstrates how to build real semantic search in Laravel using RAG with the AI SDK. When full-text search falls short and clients need meaning over matching keywords, this Laravel Worldwide Meetup talk shows you how to implement vectors, embeddings, and chunks with Eloquent and Postgres.

🥈 @ProjektGopher covers a fascinating week in PHP Internals where one developer proposed freezing new features until PHP has a formal spec and four independent implementations. The responses reveal the real challenge: fixing PHP's bugs is fundamentally a money problem, not a technical one.

Two critical PHP vulnerabilities, rated 9.2. Their CVE numbers leaked a day before the fix, and some governments took their own sites offline rather than run unpatched. Two weeks of PHP Internals in one episode.

I wonder what most of the posts this week on @artisan_weekly will be about? What do you think?
Even better why not signup to the newsletter to find out ;) -> artisanweekly.com/newsletter
The NCSC is encouraging UK organisations to prepare for immediate updating of systems using PHP. Where immediate remediation is not feasible, organisations should consider taking the system offline until it can be fully mitigated.

AI coding agents still struggle with adaptive SwiftUI layouts, and with iPhone Duo coming up, there's even more to think about.
Our apps need to work across different poses, orientations, window sizes, and Dynamic Type settings. Getting layouts right is becoming even more important, and hardcoded sizes and assumptions about the available space can easily cause problems.
This is where our new SwiftFairy Scroll on layout and resizability can really help. It gives coding agents more focused guidance on building flexible SwiftUI interfaces and catching layout mistakes that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Keeping up with PHP means checking a dozen sites, the internals list, the wiki, and a pile of GitHub repos. Until now, no single place made it easy to keep up with the language, so @mattstauffer and I decided to do something about it.
Today we’re launching @phpnewsnet.
