The state of Virginia has had a blatant disregard for life in the womb for going on a decade - but that doesn't mean we stop defending life.

I’d like to propose that if you do not vote today, then you do not get to tweet about politics for the next 24 months.
“If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
I don’t think that’s true, but I do think God has a story to tell even in that.
There is something beautiful about seeing people gather together on a Sunday morning to worship Jesus.
Different backgrounds. Different stories. Different struggles. Different circumstances. Different dreams. Yet, one shared hope and one common Savior.
What a joy it was to preach for the Light the Coast Crusade this week. It was so encouraging to watch 14 different churches work together to pull off this event so the gospel could get to all sorts of people there in Brunswick County. It’s the definition of being on mission together.
What made the week even better is that Heather and the kids were able to come down for a few days. I love spending time with them, especially in one of our favorite places - the beach.
If you want to be countercultural, stop being offended by every single thing you don’t agree with.
You can disagree with someone and still have discourse. You can disagree and show grace.
Jesus showed us the way - let’s follow it.
Wheels up with this little girl today!
We are off for me to speak at a pregnancy center fundraiser in Detroit tonight, then a men’s conference Saturday outside of Greensboro and then Sunday services at First Baptist Roanoke.
It’s gonna be a busy stretch of ministry over the next four days, but I’m looking forward to serving the local church and making memories with my little girl along the way.

Today, N.C. Baptist staff from across the state gathered as one team 🙌
Thank you to @mikepassaro for leading us in worship and @DanielRitchie for reminding us that the gospel sustains us, comes at a cost and drives our mission.

Such encouraging news. Steve has led Faith Baptist well, Southeastern well, and served North Carolina Baptist convention well.
Prayerful that he will get the opportunity in November to continue to Shepherd the state convention in a Christ honoring way.
Steven Wade, lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Youngsville and a professor of pastoral theology at SEBTS in Wake Forest, will be nominated for president of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina during this year’s N.C. Baptist annual meeting.

We have to get to the point where our Bible is THE guiding light of our life and not just a book we bring to church on Sundays.
What happens when 600 ministry leaders gather with one goal: helping more people hear the good news of Jesus?
I got to serve alongside Georgia Baptist Convention last week at their SPARK Conference, and I left incredibly encouraged.
We spent time talking about both the WHY and the HOW of evangelism.
Because knowing how to share the gospel matters.
But before we ever get to the how, we have to wrestle with the why.
People need more than a gospel presentation sitting in their back pocket. They need hearts that are burdened for the people God has placed around them. They need the courage to step into a conversation, ask a question, listen to someone’s story, and point them to Jesus.
The goal isn’t simply to equip Christians to know what to say.
It’s to cultivate a heart that is willing to say something.
