We recently got to take this little girl to the beach for the first time in her life (my best buddy’s daughter—they’re from out of state) and talk about fun!! We found hermit crabs and sea anemones! 🤩 #Learning IsFun

It made me so happy to look up while on a recent family outing to see our eldest son sweetly holding our youngest daughter’s hand. He’s going back to college today and she said she’s going to miss having him at home. 😊 💙

To be informed by a student that she credits me with helping her rediscover the love of reading is definitely a wonderful way to end the school year & begin summer break. I love my job! My students’ reading abilities = ⬆️ ⬆️ 🎉 #LiteracyMatters #Reading #FocusOnGrowth

Can’t leave this one out: the grinch visited our students to recognize their semester one achievements. It definitely got everyone’s attention… 👀 😆

Based on a post I read about students wanting their teachers to understand the power of AI...I compiled a survey from students around the globe on how they are using AI ...here are some of the interesting results. The results are surprising, and I analyzed the data with the help of Chat GPT

I am so pleased with my students’ reading growth that I can’t quite find the words… Suffice to say most of them did their best on the latest reading skills assessment and it shows! 🥹 📈↗️#FocusOnGrowth

Students benefit greatly when we provide safe and appropriate ways to let them share their experiences and simply who they are. We have two students on a committee I’m a part of this year and we all love to hear them share their insights and ideas. #StudentVoice

I appreciate the effort many of my students put into their notes and point that out to them. They really appreciate it!

William (on the right, 8th grade) and his friend took 2nd & 3rd places respectively in their first ever road bike race this morning in Temecula. 👏 Thank you Stage 2 Cyclery in Murrieta for mentoring and supporting these young riders! #RoadBiking #YouthSports

This is not the most scientifically accurate video about #Capybaras, but it’s pretty fun…and I’ve decided I want to be a bit more like them since they are the “chillest” apparently! 😃 #FridayEve

Student leaders collecting raffle tickets to reward their peers for keeping up their agendas. The kids love this and some of them have remarkable organization skills which they get to share! 😊 📝📆 #AVID #WICOR #middleschool

Today—on this infamous day—I didn’t tell my students much, but instead focused on *asking them* about their understanding of 9-11. We then focused on the #DayofService aspect & committed to doing an act of service which they will write about. #NeverForget #DayofRemembrance❤️👩‍🚒 🏙️

My 7th & 8th graders are great writers, especially when they work together to come up with their responses. They presented today & it was great to hear them share their thoughts! Being a teacher is such a privilege. It’s not easy, but nothing worthwhile it is! #WICOR #AVID – at Menifee, CA

Wow, I’m back in the classroom as a teacher this year for the first time in over 10 years, and while it has been anything but easy, it’s been extremely satisfying…and I’m reminded how vital a smile is! Thanks for reminding me to keep it up, even when it’s not easy. 😊
