Free cattle feed! All we have to do is pick it by hand like the olden times! Halfway done! Now then who has an old Gehl grinder mixer?
We got over an inch and a half of rain this morning. If we wouldn’t have gotten any this week it would have been bad. This will fill out the corn and beans nicely. Western Iowa.
Never had slugs before. Here we are. Anyone got a good way to stop them from getting more? Seems to be getting worse by the day.

If I have anyone with a back haul that can bring back round bales from either Western Iowa or Southeast Colorado, I have two generous donors willing to load you, and the couple of good old boys in the center of this picture in western NE that will offload you here near Lewellen NE when you arrive.
Today, my good friends @laurafarms_ and @LEAADFarms donated bales and fencing supplies for our producers affected by fires here in the west, then Grant and Laura toted it halfway across the state to help those in need.
I'm not asking for anything, but if you're interested in donating, we @FedCropAgency have decided we are going to help coordinate more of this. We have a client with a ranch about 12 miles south of the Morrill Fire, near Lewellen NE, that is willing to store whatever is donated and aid in distributing it.
They are willing to donate their time and equipment to help you offload, and load up those in need, as they equipment on site to do so.
If you want to help, or are in need, call our Chappell office @ 308-874-2708 to coordinate pickup or delivery.
This means more to us than you can imagine as we have many clients affected by the Morrill Fire. Some who have lost it all. On a very personal note, thank you Cale and Laura. Your family means the world to mine.
My wife’s aunt wrote a children’s book about her donkeys. You should check it out on amazon. It’s a good book.

Did a test at home. First picture no fungicide, second picture had two pass (generic pre tassel Revytek post). Third picture had 3 pass (same but added a generic pass a week ago). No clue if the last pass will pay in bushels but I can see a difference in the plant. Kinda neat.
My dad and I were working on the planter today. My seven year old made dad stop and help him build an Easter cross. I don’t usually post things like this but what a humbling experience. Made me really proud. Celebrate Jesus tomorrow. Happy Easter everyone. Be safe this season.
