These are some of the final recorded FDNY radio communications from inside the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
In the final minutes before the tower collapsed, firefighters were still climbing toward the impact zone, searching for survivors and calling for more men to come up.
Battalion Chief Orio Palmer had reached the 78th floor. Lt. Joseph Leavey of Ladder 15 was climbing toward him. With barely two minutes remaining, Palmer called Battalion 9 Chief Edward Geraghty and told him they had access to the floors above.
Geraghty's response: “All right, I'm on my way up, Orio.”
Seconds later, a Ladder 15 firefighter radioed that he was trapped in an elevator shaft: “We're chopping through the wall to get out.”
The radio signal disappeared shortly afterward. The South Tower collapsed at 9:59 a.m.
Orio Palmer, Joseph Leavey and Edward Geraghty were killed that morning. They were still going up while others were trying to get out.

Carney installs the very powerbroker whose company broke rules to take $200 million in taxpayers money and “supercharged” the opioid crisis that killed 50,000 Canadians.
The guy was the architect of the Century Initiative, which pushed for mass immigration that drove wages down, rent up, and corporate profits through the roof.

Wild stuff what the LPC government did here as they allowed a foreign agent of the Iranian government (the son of Iran’s former vice-president) to move to Canada under the foreign worker program and THEN awarded millions worth of contracts, despite an ongoing investigation into allegations he helped the Islamic Republic evade sanctions and develop missile systems. I sure hope @SecScottBessent doesn’t see this.

Monday Ottawa puts two price hikes on you at the same clock.
Sept. 8 the 10¢/L federal gasoline excise tax returns. Finance paused it April 20 through Labour Day and priced that pause at “over $2.4 billion.”
GST/HST is charged on the federal excise. Ontario 13% × 10¢ = 1.3¢. The litre costs 11.3¢ more, not 10.
Same morning, 12:01 a.m.: 15%, 25% or 50% tariffs on $27.6 billion of U.S. imports. Furniture and clothing at 50%. Appliances at 25%. Steel that was 25% goes to 50%.
Gasoline is already +25.7% year over year (July). Everything except gasoline: +2.2%.
One tax is inside the litre. The other is inside the washer. Same calendar day.
