DartNative is a beast. And it’s magic. 🧙♂️🔥
We’ve only scratched the surface of its potential.
Fast, stable, reliable dn run, unified native/Dart logs, native and custom UI, reactive state management powered by Signals, a truly native look and feel, CodePush, and much more. 🔥
It’s launch day! 🚀🎵
Thank you to everyone who has been kind, excited, and supportive along the way. ❤️🙏
Let’s build. ⚡️

🚨 Can background work be faster than in Flutter?
DartNative lets you run Flutter’s compute code unchanged, with up to 1.6x less work on the UI thread. 💨
🚨 Improved video precaching is coming to dartnative_videoplayer!
Precache was already good, but we’ve found ways to make it even better. 💨
If you're building a chat or social media app, this is key to delivering a premium experience and saving on bandwidth costs.
Our tech stack 👀
We’re happy with Node.js, but migrating to Rust is definitely on the table.
Under the hood at Presence & DartNative:
We handle everything ourselves with self-managed infrastructure:
- K3s HA Kubernetes clusters
- Node.js + TypeScript
- PostgreSQL
- Valkey
DevOps is entirely agentic.
This approach is cheaper than relying on typical PaaS solutions and gives us full control over our infrastructure.
Websites (including Dartpub.dev):
- Astro + Svelte
We might eventually migrate the backend to Rust, or Dart if it can deliver competitive performance.
Make your decision consciously 👀
I don’t get people asking React Native companies what they think about RN. It’s like asking a bear if it likes honey.
RN doesn’t deliver truly native performance and behaviour. It’s a known fact. We’ve demonstrated it with open benchmarks, and many long-time contributors who invested years and significant resources in RN have simply walked away.
If you want to gamble with your career or your own company, even now that AI writes the code for you, that’s your choice. But make that decision consciously, with your eyes open.
We're happy to see Shopify finally embracing uncompromised native apps.
Stop stubbornly building with React Native. Your users deserve better. Only native and DartNative deliver the real thing. 🚀
We’ve rebuilt the @Shopify mobile app from the ground up in native for iOS and Android 📱
The new experience brings a fresh design, smoother interactions, and Liquid Glass on iOS. It also launches faster on both platforms, with Android launch time cut by more than half.
🚨DartNative 1.5.0 is coming with some good surprises. Meet DartNative Teams 👀
Your entire team can use DartNative under a single subscription. No buying seats.
It's so affordable, it's virtually free. 🚀
We're app developers ourselves, so we know how frustrating bugs can be when they block your work. Fixing them is a priority, not an afterthought.
Are you kidding me?! 😱 They fixed the issue just three hours after it was reported. And the person who reported it is on a free plan! 👀

🚨Reanimated for DartNative just landed 😱
You don't have to come from Flutter to fall in love with DartNative.
Huge thanks to @Edkluivert for this gem! 👏

Your phone is the joystick. Tilt it and fly. ✈️
Built with reanimated_dartnative: sensor readings over FFI, springs, 3D banking, parallax clouds, and a spring-chained contrail.
All Dart. All DartNative.
Had to follow the naming convention.

The author has renamed the plugin to improve discoverability. 🚀

🚨 Two days ago, a user requested WebSocket support in dartnative_http.
We're shipping it quickly in DartNative 1.4.1 because we were already working on it. But this is also the kind of treatment you can expect as a Standard or Pro customer. 🚀
🚨 DartNative 1.4.1 is coming with extended Flutter parity 🚀
Our goal is simple. Build truly native apps just as you would in Flutter, and make migration between DN and Flutter seamless in either direction, at any time.
Our ideal customer. 🫶
The ideal DartNative customer is 1) a developer or company considering a move to native (or, tragically, React Native), 2) someone already building native apps but tired of the slowness, complexity, and costs they entail, or 3) a young developer choosing to bet on real native apps from day one rather than having to switch later.
What makes dartnative_http special? 🚀
Native NSURLSession on iOS, OkHttp on Android, zero-copy response bodies, background JSON decoding, native caching and much more.
All behind the familiar package:http API.
Native performance. Dart simplicity. ❤️

🚨DartNative 1.4.0 is here! dartnative.com/changelog
We also promised faster hot reload. Is this fast enough? 😊💨
🚨 Can hot reload be much faster than in Flutter?
DartNative lets you apply live changes in as little as 60ms, up to 3.9x faster. 💨
Quality will triumph! ✊
Today, we'll also release our announced solution for faster JSON decoding, along with new benchmarks. We think DN developers are going to love it! 🚀
There was a time when Big Tech paid huge salaries for people to build web stuff. Then came the idea that recycling JS/TS skills to build mobile apps was somehow empowering developers even further.
The results of 20 years of this approach? Arguably the poorest software quality we've ever seen, with the App Store and Google Play flooded with mediocre, ugly apps that nobody really wants to pay for.
That era is coming to an end. Quality will triumph.
My thoughts are with the developers. Historically, our industry has been slow to adapt, and many will face difficult times ahead.
If you're reading this, please don't wait. Adapt now. What looks scary today could become your biggest opportunity.
