So my mom got "robbed". She's 80 years old. Some "judge" called her and told her that her own daughter, my sister, has been involved in an accident. It was my sisters fault and that she's in custody now. The other party involved in the accident is in critical condition and might now survive.
They asked my mom for money to bail my sister out. And of course, my mom, being 80 years old, not understanding anything, in panic, handed them everything over USD 50k. Imagine, they sent an UBER driver to her house for collection. Why do UBER drivers act as money deliverers for gangsters?
My mom gave them even the jewellery she had, including pieces that her own mother gave her. And she's devastated, shocked and can't believe how foolish she was.
I reported everything to the police. They told us that the chance to catch these guys is basically zero.
In addition, I filed an insurance claim to her insurance against robbery with AXA. She was paying them insurance premiums for 10s of years. And of course AXA "declined", stating it was not a real robbery, but a fraud.
Thank you AXA. We don't deserve to exist as a species.

For the third time I got almost in trouble because young men didn't know how to behave. Third time since being back from UAE. They were yelling and shadow boxing. Parked their damn e-scooter in front of the table of other people in the middle of the walkway. Oh, they weren't "natives".
No one dared to say anything. All ducked and quiet.
I watched them a couple of minutes. Then I stood up and told them to beat it. Took a while until they understood.
That never happened a couple of years ago here in Oerlikon. It is happening now, more and more frequently. And sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who is noticing, or at least who says something.
I see what's coming. Wait until those boys grow up..
US household income is doing really well since 2022. I have to say.
I wanted to see how the lower 80% of households are doing, leaving out the upper 20% households.

So from now on, I'll announce the reason why I have this hick mark. They might not believe me though.
