The Production Design of #StarTrekPicard took hundreds of people behind the scenes. When we talk about credits, most of these talented craftspeople will not see their name on the screen. As we move into #EmmyFYC time, let's make sure they are all celebrated @ADG800 @OfficialSDSA

Tom Cruise didn’t have to star in #Digger (🌟🌟🌟🌟). He didn’t have to take one of the biggest swings of his storied career. He could’ve used all the goodwill from Top Gun: Maverick & Mission: Impossible and done something safe. At 64, would anyone have blamed Cruise? Instead - as has been the case with Tom Cruise’s entire career - this man put two middle fingers to the sky. He said fuck your expectations of me. He said I’m making real art & I don’t give a damn who likes it. The things Cruise just did in Digger are utterly fearless. What more do you want from an artist??
Wow #Digger is insane. It's not what you think. It's like a Wes Anderson movie had sex with a Coen Brothers film on the set of Twelve Monkeys. The production design was sublime. Tom Cruise and John Goodman were off the charts. It's Art, and as such some will love it and some hate it. It's a huge swing for Alejandro Iñárritu. Go see it before you read about it.

To put this into perspective @WilliamShatner is 12 years older than Mick Jagger and had just as much swagger. Crazy! But that's how it goes.
Have you ever noticed we live in a country where a 95-year-old man can walk into a mud pit in Chicago, call his band The Fuckers, and start reciting “Enter Sandman” like he’s giving a TED Talk from the afterlife?
William Shatner. Ninety-five. Riot Fest. Douglass Park. Thirty-five minutes. Spoken-word heavy metal. In the mud. With people cheering like this is normal.
It is not normal. It is magnificent.
He did “Crazy Train.” He did “Ace of Spades.” He did Metallica. Not sang them. Talked them. Like Captain Kirk got trapped in a guitar amp and decided to negotiate with Satan instead of the Klingons.
Behind him: actual musicians. Marcus Nand. Phil Soussan. Grown men who have paid rent with real notes while a nonagenarian stands there going, “What the F is heavy metal?” and somehow makes it a question worth answering.
Brian May is on the record. Tony Iommi is on the record. The album is called *What the F Is Heavy Metal?* which is the most honest title in music since someone first admitted most of it is just louder complaining.
The crowd ate it up. Of course they did. We will watch a man old enough to remember radio as furniture stand in wet dirt and dare death to tap him on the shoulder. Death probably took one look, said “I’m not dealing with this today,” and went to find someone easier.
You’re never too old to live out your dreams. That’s the line they always use. The real line is: most people quit the second it gets embarrassing. Shatner waited until embarrassing became the whole act, then sold tickets.
Follow @wickedsmaahht before the rest of the timeline figures it out.

Please tell me that @WilliamShatner is going to get up and sing when @IronMaiden comes to LA next week. 🖖🤘🙏

Just time traveled through James Hong's IMDB menagerie of 562 acting roles going back to 1953. So many iconic roles and so many voices! David Lo Pan is easily my favorite along with Chew in Blade Runner and Mr. Ping, but it's INSANE how he was in every big TV show for decades. The world has been blessed with his voice and his talent. Excited to read his new book
