Basti, Uttar Pradesh- Near the 'Hospital Chauraha' (Hospital Intersection) Salman Qureshi (from Parsa Takiywa), Anees, Irfan, Fazal, and Nafees (from Pipra Ram Kishun), as well as 'Rdix', Arman (from the Station area), and Mantu Pathan, Sameer, and Rehan (from Pathan Tola), along with 15–20 unidentified persons pelted stones and attacked the Durga Puja visarjan procession on 26 Oct night with rods and swords. They broke the Ma Durga idol. Six police personnel have been suspended in connection with the case, and a case has been registered against 10 Muslims. Hindus refused to immerse the idol until the culprits were caught. Police arranged for the vandalised idol to be immersed.

Karnataka-Kammagondanahali fire- Sabeeq Pasha had a shop in a building. He used to sell petrol, diesel, lubricants and kerosene. He was into illegal refilling of gas cylinders and illegal retailing of petrol and diesel. On the day of fire as many as 23 cylinders exploded one after the other. The police said they found eight to 10 empty LPG cylinders and two to three filled cylinders outside the store. They suspect the cylinders may have been used for illegal gas refilling. Once the fire broke on 24 Oct, out all people and tenants ran out but Akash Basavaraj (27) & Nagarathna (24) locked themselves up in their flat. Their charred bodies were found after 2 days. The house owner Mohammad Hidayatullah (Hinayatullah) and Sabeeq Pasha have been arrested.

Vaghpara area, Morbi, Gujarat- A man, Shikhar Jayesh Gohel set a woman lawyer’s parked car on fire after reportedly becoming irritated by its repeatedly beeping sensors in Morbi. CCTV footage of the incident shows the man pouring petrol on the car, setting it ablaze and then filming the act before leaving the scene. Morbi A Division Police have arrested the accused and initiated legal action. The damage was of Rs 3.5 lakhs. From @DeshGujarat
