I just made a feature film for $6000 in 12 shooting days with SAG-AFTRA talent.
How I did it:
- Worked as the entire crew
- Produced multiple shooting blocks of 2 - 3 days
- Used only equipment I already owned
- Shot entirely with natural light

Many bemoan the lack of an Oscar nomination for Cage but our NOSCAR NONminee for BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR is @DavidKnell in “Pig” from Michael Sarnosky. This is the epitome of supportive acting! #noscar #nicolascage #pig #michaelsarnosky #davidknell #cheffinway

In which I once again argue that @DavidKnell’s single-scene performance in PIG is the kind of stuff that deserves a Best Supporting Actor slot. Loved writing this piece

And the tangible emotions flying across his face. Masterful.
And, the fact that this actor hadn't been in a movie in 30+ years gives people hope that it's never too late to have your moment in the sun. I may just dust off my headshot.
Thanks, #DavidKnell!

Shortest screen time with the biggest impact in 2021? David Knell in Pig. Impeccable face acting from someone getting utterly dismantled by Nicolas Cage.

Michael Sarnoski’s debut #Pig is made all the more remarkable because it reflects the wisdom of a much older man, and the patience of a master. It's one of the best first features of 2021: bit.ly/3ssz29g
