Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Grand Rapids! I feel very lucky to live and lead in Grand Rapids with all the wonderful members of our community.
Today we celebrated César E. Chávez's 98th bday & the Committee’s 25th Anniversary! It’s incredible to witness the power of unity as we honor César's unwavering commitment to justice, dignity, & equality. Here's to continuing his mission & strengthening our collective resilience.
I had a great time with my friend @GovWhitmer during her visit to Grand Rapids yesterday! Talking leadership, community, and progress in the 616.
February is Black History Month, a time to reflect on the invaluable contributions of Black leaders and culture to our communities. As we honor these achievements, let’s recommit to the ongoing fight for a fairer, more equitable future for all.
In his Letter from Birmingham Jail, MLK wrote "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." This MLK Day, let us remember his unwavering commitment to justice. As I take on the role of Mayor, I’ll work to ensure that our City is a beacon of promoting love & kindness.
Very proud of the trust the people of Grand Rapids have placed in me and our incredible team. Together, we’ll create a brighter future for everyone in GR!

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Remember to recognize, honor, and support the Chippewa, Ottawa, and Potawatomi tribes that originally called Grand Rapids home.
I had a shameless fan moment meeting the Mayor of the second coolest city in America (right after Grand Rapids)!
