Yesterday’s Budget was a missed opportunity to tackle the cost-of-living crisis in communities like Sandyhills, who are worried about the rising costs of energy, food and fuel. #bbcdn

🧵 This UK Budget completely fails to meet the moment.
We will replicate the £100 support for fuel bills, but the UK Government has failed to cut energy bills by £300 as promised.
Governments in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast now have pro-independence leaders. Support for independence over 50% in recent polls. No wonder there’s panic amongst unionists.
The stars are aligning for independence, which we need to fully tackle the cost-of-living crisis that’s hurting people across the East End. #SNP26
Independence isn't about turning our backs on our neighbours.
It's about Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland working together as friends, partners and equals, each with the power to shape their own future.

Independence is now supported by a majority of people in Scotland and people must have that choice.
If the Prime Minister backs the opportunity to revisit the 2016 EU referendum, it is completely incoherent to deny another referendum on independence.
Disorder and racism in our community last night was not caused by a small minority of Muslim women wearing a niqab. The threat to our communities came from a mob of grown men in ski masks. This issue is too important to fall victim to a smokescreen debate. news.stv.tv/politics/msps-de…
With winter on the way, it's unacceptable that people across my constituency are facing a live decision between turning on the heating or going to the supermarket. Labour promised energy bills would fall by £300, now they're projected to rise by £1,000 a year.
Residents in Garrowhill, Baillieston and across the East End have been in touch with me in droves about e-bikes and e-scooters. Pleased that @ScotGovFM @JohnSwinney will work with Police Scotland to look at more powers to tackle criminal activity linked to these vehicles.
I met with @FSBHisashiK from the Federation of Small Businesses at Coffee Corner in Sandyhills.
We discussed the current climate for small businesses and how to better support local people who are considering taking the leap and starting their own business. @FSB_Scotland
If @RealStephenKerr can change their minds on a general election 4 times in 55 days, surely after 12 years the people of Scotland have the right to change their minds and decide their own future 🏴
I have been out and about in Garrowhill and Springboig over the past week. Thank you to everyone who took the time to chat with me and raise issues that are impacting their communities.
Very grateful to @ScotGovFM @JohnSwinney for taking up my offer to visit Shettleston Men's Shed and see the positive work they do to improve men's health.

Many congratulations to Leigh Payne, the latest @theSNP Councillor for Avondale and Stonehouse, elected in a by-election tonight. Great news.

Young Scots wearing balaclavas while driving e-bikes are 'terrifying' communities

Across the East End, there is an epidemic of illegally modified e-bikes and e-scooters. Earlier I spoke to @BBCRadioScot Breakfast about the work I'll be doing on behalf of residents in Garrowhill, Baillieston and beyond to ensure we clamp down on this criminal activity.

In the debate on ending violence against women & girls led by First Minister @JohnSwinney yesterday, I was proud to highlight the excellent @Glasgow_Times "Action Not Words" campaign led by @journostacey and her team. We all have a part to play to tackle this scourge in society.
