Howie Keene scores 23 points as Woodlands (Texas) defeats @kahokmenshoops 60-57 in the quarterfinals of the @ClassicTorny. Keene helped defeat his dad's high school team. Richard and other Keene family members were in the stands. #618hoops
Feels strange being at the @ClassicTorny and not working. Not sure I like it. But it's good to see the people and the competition. #618hoops
.@IlliniMBB coverage is in great hands with @mrwagner25, @srrichey and @JWerner247. Enjoyed their tweets all through that tough victory over Wisconsin.
Greg Leib continues to plug away and have fun as he coaches in his 26th season at @AlthoffCatholic. Tonight, he goes against his brother Phil as Flora visits the Crusaders. bellevillemessenger.org/2024… #618hoops
Heartbreak Hotel for @BasketballTriad as it loses 46-45 to Decatur MacArthur in the fifth-place game of the @ClassicTorny. Last-second shot denies Triad its first trophy at Collinsville. #618hoops
It's going to be a @QHSBASKETBALL vs. @kahokmenshoops championship game Friday in the @ClassicTorny. This seems to be what most people wanted. It should be an unbelievable game between two of the most successful programs in the country. #618hoops
Missing all the cold chocolate milk on press row at the @ClassicTorny. No one served it up better than Clay Smith @ClaySmi33713609. 39th edition of the legendary tournament has hit full speed. #618hoops
Only two of the #618football teams advance in the playoffs: East St. Louis and Roxana. Edwardsville, Central, Mater Dei, Highland, Nashville and Althoff were defeated. All #618football teams were on the road. Tough assignments this deep in the postseason.
I know my former co-workers have been asked: What do you miss most about covering sports, especially at the prep level? For me, it's the people. There are so many great folks out there that I got to know well. Talking to them and the athletes was always a pleasure. It's a void.
.@OTHS_Soccer will play @kahokmensfutbol in the Class 3A sectional semifinals Tuesday. Panthers survive 1-0 against @BTHSEastLancers to win Belleville West Regional crown. #618soccer
Adam Wainwright has been the gold standard in St. Louis for so many years. I was fortunate to cover him for a few seasons. What a class act and it's great to see him enjoy a day like this. #STLCards

I'll be in O'Town tonight as @OFallonFootball plays host to Edwardsville @TigerFootball_ in a Southwestern Conference rivalry game. Always a barn-burner. Edwardsville is 3-0, O'Fallon is 2-1. @PrepSportsSTL @otownathletics @Edwardsville618 #618football
Looks like this will be an awesome event once again! @PrepSportsSTL #618hoops

Gibson Hunt had a penalty kick late in the second half Saturday that catapulted @soccer_triad to a 1-0 victory over @althoffsoccer in a battle of metro-east state-tournament contenders. prepsportsstl.com/2023/09/09… #618soccer
.@althoffsoccer and @soccer_triad are scoreless at halftime in a battle of metro-east powers. Not many scoring opportunities for either team, but @soccer_triad has had more possession. @PrepSportsSTL #618soccer
St. Dominic @SDAll_In reeled off its third win of the season Friday with a 42-14 decision over Mascoutah @MHSIndianFB. Crusaders could go a long way in Class 5 after finishing second in Class 4 last season. prepsportsstl.com/2023/09/08… @StDominicHS @MHS19_ATHLETICS
My travels will take me to Alumni Field in Mascoutah tonight as @MHSIndianFB face @StDominicHS at 7. Check out @PrepSportsSTL for coverage, and give us a follow while you're at it! @MHS19_ATHLETICS
