Today’s Labour Budget gives the Plaid Welsh Government an extra £450 million to invest in public services. It’s welcome news for local communities across Wales. Plaid Cymru now needs to focus on making sure this funding reaches the services that need it most.

The Tories dragged their feet on clean energy, leaving us exposed to volatile international fossil fuel markets. This @UKLabour Government has launched a £2bn North Sea Energy Wealth Fund to ensure fossil fuel revenues directly fund our clean energy transition.

The latest figures show the total number of NHS waits has risen to its highest level in 10 months. Patients need action and a Plaid government focused on getting waiting lists down. The NHS must come first.

Striking how fast Reform went from free-press defenders to calling for the arrest of journalists who investigate it. Its move to the populist-authoritarian model is unlikely to do much for its poll rating.
STATEMENT: Reform UK has reported ITV, its board, and its undercover reporters to the police. Some of the crimes carry up to 10 years in prison. They forged a passport. They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly altered the results. Being paid to “canvass” for Reform in crucial wards we lost by a few dozen votes. They lied to a veteran about their service and left him “violated”. This is unprecedented. The police are now involved. Scrutiny of political parties is one thing. But anyone breaking the law to try and ruin the lives of Reform’s staff, members or volunteers will be reported to the police and pursued relentlessly in the courts. Here’s what happened 👇

Today marks 60 years since the Aberfan Disaster, one of the darkest days in our history.   The tragedy, which cut short so many lives, remains etched in the memory of our nation. We remember the 144 who died and pay tribute to a community of such strength and resilience.

The racist language exposed by ITV has no place in Welsh politics. Reform UK must explain how Martin Roberts was selected as a candidate and given a taxpayer-funded Senedd role. Wales deserves answers. Another “bad apple” excuse won’t cut it. itv.com/watch/news/undercove…

Good to see this from @WelshLabour Unbelievable that Plaid voted it down.
Yesterday in the Senedd, Welsh Labour voted to protect all four of Wales’ professional rugby regions. With the future of Welsh regional rugby at stake, we backed a motion calling for all four teams to be retained. But Plaid Cymru voted it down. The motion failed. Our rugby regions are an important part of Welsh sporting life, supporting local communities, developing talent and inspiring the next generation of players. Welsh Labour will always stand up for Welsh rugby. 🏉🌹
