Taking Scripture out of context to make people who are fed up with liars and grifters feel guilty, instead of holding the liars and grifters accountable. Classic.
In looking at causes for tonight’s results, one important data point—in the 2022 midterms, around 24% of white evangelical Christians (the most reliably conservative bloc of religious voters) voted. In 2026, only 17% did.
In other words, a significant amount of America’s salt decided not to have flavor when it comes to elections. And when that happens, it fails to preserve.

Should Republicans lose in these midterms, I would ask the conservative political talking heads NOT to blame the voters. Instead, blame the Republicans who have been spineless and lazy, and who have disenfranchised their base by refusing to do the jobs they were elected to do.
I despise the GOP. Those liars promise the world, only to disappoint, frustrate and anger once in office. But, since I know that the status quo is still somehow better than the alternative, I will give be them my vote. And that’s why hate the two party system with a passion.

Sat here talking about OU all week just to get embarrassed again 😭😭😭
I hope they play fifes and drums before the order to fire.
Not only has the US never televised public executions in its history, but not even the Nazi defendants sentenced to death at the Nuremberg trials had their executions televised (it was deemed violative of the human rights that post-WW2 institutions were trying to re-establish).
The most amazing part of this is that Nidal Hasan is paraplegic and close to 60. So this disgusting spectacle will involve rolling him out in a wheelchair, then live-streaming his body as it's pumped full of bullets.
When I and others pointed out last night that public executions are carried out only by the countries we're told are the most primitive and savage (Afghanistan, North Korea), MAGA enthusisasts replied that we were too weak. Pummeling an old guy in a wheelchair with bullets -- as a reality TV show -- seems like an odd and dubious defintion of "strength," let alone an expression of the western values they endlessly claim they and they alone are trying to salvage.

🚨Calling all OU football fans🚨
I have put together a very short fan survey and want your feedback on the team.
Send it to your friends and family. Let it all out.
I'll release the results later during the bye week.

DeSantis hate by “conservatives” is so forced, bro delivered the GOP the third largest state in the country and is pretty much the only governor who was on the right side of Covid. Plus he’s a hardliner on every issue and actually a competent executive. I’ll never understand it

Romans 11 cannot be reduced to a slogan about God’s calling being irrevocable.
Paul also describes unbelieving Jewish branches being broken off because of unbelief and Gentile believers being grafted into the same tree through faith.
The chapter leaves no room for racial superiority, Christian arrogance or a second covenant that provides divine favor apart from Jesus Christ.
The irony is that she actually is calling God a liar.
I like Lizzy so be kind but can anyone help her understand. I believe this heresy is very serious... She doesn’t think Jesus is God and that’s heresy. I’ve tried but she won’t listen to me. I thought Isaiah referring to him as mighty God, him being crucified for making himself equal with God (no one is equal with God but God) , Thomas calling him “my Lord and my God” and him saying Before Abraham was I AM was enough. Anyone have anything else?

Not sure why I see so many non-Americans now saying “America is a continent.”
No it isn’t. South America and North America are SEPARATE continents.
America is the United States of America. Canada is not America. Mexico is not America.
Citizens of the U.S are called Americans.
David Kimball retweeted
When people deny the word “American” refers specifically to people from the United States, they are attempting to effectively erase the existence of a distinct national identity. Spanish speakers can choose to say “estadounidense” if they wish, but in English—as in nearly every other language—“American” is the singular term for citizens of the United States. Don’t let them take it.
The number one reason I will never become a Catholic: they rob the faithful of the very assurance that Christ himself gives his Church.
