Horse of the Year means 2026. Sovereignty's Derby, Belmont, etc. do not count. So, if a horse only has to win the Whitney & BC Classic to be HOY, then we owe White Abarrio an Eclipse.
I'm old enough to remember critics beating up Secretariat because he retired as a 3 year old (12 starts + TC) & never had to carry heavy weights. Now, we award HOY to horses with 4 starts & a 50% win average for the year. *sigh*

Just once I'd like to see a show/movie where an unplanned pregnancy has realistic outcomes. The kid's a brat, her parents disown her, kid's father wants nothing to do with the kid, or she actually gets an abortion.
