Very good scene, loved the subtle touch of the migration from North Louisiana to Cali and why. My grandpa was born/raised not far from Claiborne parish(45 min east of Claiborne). I got an uncle who left for Cali at 18 and never came back for nothing. Loved this scene
A lot of our folks left the South under these circumstances, mostly men. My great-great grandmother. Had to leave town in a hurry after whooping a yt woman at a well getting water. The reverberations were felt for generations from having to leave 8 kids in a hurry.
