I think it’s poor form from Team AJ to potentially lose out on this Tyson Fury fight over the venue, especially considering this is the last-chance saloon. They had no issues fighting in Saudi Arabia when it was agreed upon in 2021. As I’ve said all along, there are clearly other agendas at play here. That being said, I can’t sit here and say I wouldn’t do the same if I were Eddie Hearn, given how the Saudis have treated him recently. Yes, they’ve given him millions, and he was happy to be the guest promoter on the Usyk vs. Rico card. However, they took Conor Benn and Johnny Fisher away from him, and they tried to sign Bam. It was all above board, as they were free agents, but they’ve explicitly stated they want to “crush the competition.” What do you expect him to do, just let it happen without any pushback? You can’t expect him to sit back and let a rival promotional company promote his main fighter’s biggest bout. We would all be pissed off in his shoes. It’s easy to say you wouldn’t care, but you would think very differently if it were you. I’ve said previously that I thought the way that Rick Reeno fella was mocking him at press conferences was weird. It wasn’t funny, it was disrespectful, to be honest. No matter what you think of the bloke, he’s been a top promoter for the last 15 years. He deserves more respect than that. #fightclub247 #boxing #fighter #champion #furyjoshua
