Audrey Hepburn with baby son Sean Ferrer in July 1960. Audrey, who had briefly starved during World War II had trouble having children and had endured multiple miscarriages during her marriage to Mel Ferrer, which left her suicidal. When Sean was born she was overjoyed, saying “it was like a miracle, because I wanted to be a mother more than I wanted my career.”
