I did. Two reasons. Scots were shipped by Cromwell to Jamaica to work the plantations. Scots joined the slavers after 1707 despite Scots law. Individuals not the nation. And many of those recruited to run these death traps by English owners were Scots. Little other opportunity after the decimation of Scottish twins and communities post Culloden. They were highly educated and capable while English owners did not want to endure what was known as a death trap. So they were given power of attorney and their names appear on the plantation transactions. So far no one has unpicked this.
All that notwithstanding, the English slave trade began long before the ‘union’ and at no time did Scotland have a trade of its own. Every colonised people can point to the profiteers and collaborators from their own people. The question is which state drove the bike trade and through which offices. Not whether individuals, African, Indian, Scots and Irish participated.

Before Scotland's annexation in 1707 now fully documented; there was never any voluntary union and Scotland is an English colony; Scots were forbidden in law from joining the English empire and slavery was forbidden in Scots law. Actually, Jamaica was colonized by England while Scotland was colonised by Cromwell; and Scots were brought to Jamaica for example as political prisoners and servants before actual African slaves came; and they all died. The law of the English empire, which changed its name to "British" when it suited it after 1707, since annexation of a sovereign state like Scotland was already illegal in 1707, was FULLY ENGLISH. The English East India Company was English in law. Fully English.
The English colonial state has lied to the international community about Scotland having entered a so-called union voluntarily when it's simply English colonialism, territorial alienation and annexation. There isn't even a territorial union between England and Scotland; and the two Crowns remain; that's why the English colonial state had to vest Scottish oil resources in the English Crown. Think about the magnitude of that colonial crime and theft. Of course a very small minority of Scots joined or were coopted in the English empire. But that's the case of all colonized people. The colonial power genocides, ethnic cleanses, suppresses, pacifies the colonised and then integrates the collaborators to run the empire as soldiers administrators etc. It's all fully known and theorised. The level of propaganda of the English colonial state against Scotland and Scots is probably the highest in history, hiding the real constitutional situation of the annexation of a sovereign state, a supreme crime in international law. But Scotland's decolonization has begun via UN mechanisms. English colonial lies are being exposed globally. A decolonised, liberated Scotland, restored as a sovereign state, will support all former English colonies against the English colonial state for reparations, etc.
France Holds the File: A Permanent Member of the UN Security Council Documented Scotland's Annexation in Its Own State Archive & Proved There Was No Voluntary Union. France Published the Proof Itself Under De Gaulle. Its Erga Omnes Obligations Apply.

Scottish Labour politicians have become colonial salespeople for an English centric party. Note how they’ve all tried to sell a budget that short changed their own country, its people and industry all to help a party that’s long since given up on Scotland.

One of the reasons Badenoch is praised by the media (she is lavishly) is she is entirely captured, benign and unthreatening. She is very useful to the 🇬🇧 establishment
I have always been fascinated by a particular breed of African politicians in Europe who seem to have made it their life’s ambition to be more British than the British, more French than the French, and more hostile to Africans and immigrants than the most rabid nationalists in their adopted political circles.
You find them in Britain, France, Belgium and across Europe, particularly in countries that once colonized Africa. Many are the children of African immigrants, sometimes the first generation born in Europe, whose parents arrived in those countries as foreigners. Yet their children have somehow developed an almost religious devotion to the most reactionary interpretations of European nationalism. They speak about immigration as though their own parents descended from the heavens with citizenship certificates in their hands.
And I am not talking about Africans who happen to be conservative. I am talking about those who appear determined to prove their loyalty to their political constituencies by expressing a degree of contempt for immigrants, Africans and their own ancestral history that would embarrass even some European conservatives. The irony would be hilarious if its consequences were not so serious.
Because these politicians occupy a particularly convenient position in the racial politics of Europe. Their African ancestry gives certain political movements an opportunity to present deeply contested positions on immigration, race and colonial history through someone whose very presence is then offered as proof that racism could not possibly be involved.
It is the political equivalent of the racist who insists that he cannot be racist because he once dated a Black woman. Except that this time, instead of producing a Black girlfriend, they produce a Black politician with an African surname and a spectacular appetite for defending their ideological prejudices.
What particularly disgusts me is the historical revisionism that sometimes accompanies this performance. Imagine being so desperate to demonstrate your European patriotism that you begin defending an imperial history whose victims included people who looked like your grandparents.
And for what? To prove that you are sufficiently British? Sufficiently French? That your African ancestry has been politically disinfected to the satisfaction of your audience? I find this obsession with proving oneself more authentically European than Europeans themselves intellectually fascinating and morally disturbing.
This is the context in which I examine Kemi Badenoch’s politics. Badenoch is entitled to her conservative convictions, just as anyone else is entitled to challenge them. But her Nigerian heritage does not make her interpretation of British colonial history more credible, nor does it make her positions on race and immigration immune from criticism.

This is the setup, playing out in real time. What comes next is the Holyrood devolved branch office's manager citing their agreement with his Westminster colonial masters terms. It will as always be desssed up as the best for all, whilst handing Westminster and the extraction class further claims of legitimacy as they continue their 300+ years of asset stripping Scotland.
When will Sovereign Scots stand on the foundation of their power telling Westminster enough is enough?

In 1950, the British state paid a farmer to grow food, and the food went to Britain.
In 1960, the British state paid a farmer to grow food.
In 1970, the British state paid a farmer to grow food.
In 1985, the British state paid a farmer to grow food, and the country fed itself almost to the pint.
In 2026, the British state pays the same farm to plant a hedge, leave a margin, dig a pond, count a beetle, sow a strip of flowers he will never harvest, and submit the application by a deadline that falls in the middle of harvest.
There is no box on the form for how much food you grew. There is a box for the beetle.
Self-sufficiency in the 1980s: nearly 80%.
Self-sufficiency now: about 60%, and falling.
The hedges are lovely. The pond is full. The hill that used to send lamb to the butcher sends a photograph to a scheme inspector.
The form is doing exactly what it was written to do, and the people who wrote it have a word for a country that imports two fifths of its dinner. They call it a transition.

SCOTLAND'S COLONIAL PRESS
Monday blues: depressing to open our Scottish rags only to discover England is the centre of attention. Always. Scotland reacts to London decisions and opinions; that's all they publish. We ought to be reading papers that are Scots-international in outlook and content, England reserved for the jokes section. 😐 Edinburgh's Evening News celebrates Hibernian's victory over Hearts and the final against Rangers. 😐 But it also has a topical front story about the need to tame e-Bike misdemeanours. These days, all bicycles, electric or pedal power, should be licenced, have accident insurance, cyclists wear a hi-rez jacket, and daylight front and rear lights full on should be mandatory, same as any car. Every car driver has a horror story of 40mph boy cyclists in 20mph zones swooping past them and through the red light. 😐 While on the subject of road safety, how about mandatory hi-viz apparel for pedestrians too, from 1 November to end of March? Wearing dark clothes in dark, black and foggy winter while crossing a road is suicidal. 😐 Our only Indy paper, The National - forever blighted by not being owned by Scots - keeps up pressure for our independence, scaring the anti-Christ that are billionaire techie giants who rule the world and its shoddy governments, aided by Scotland's miserable wee bastard House Jocks. 😐 The BBC gets a kicking for suggesting we live to booze, and in another story, there exists a fight club on Scots soil. Its members will soon grow old and arthritic. 😐 It also carries a celebrity-watch piece on a 'rising star' who has a role in the 'Wicker' man film, a piece of English randy rustic nonsense, a riff on 'Tom Jones', (1749) a novel by Henry Fielding, but with a wicker prick and no condom. The perfect film of female satisfaction to air during Russell Randy Brandy's trial. Review of the film on Beater News in a few days.....
