I looked into this and apparently the judge who let him go free has a history of giving sex offenders lenient sentences. There was even a 2025 petition made to have him removed from his position after he allowed a man who admitted to sexually abusing a 6 year old to not have to register as a sex offender and suspended his sentence to just probation. Prior to that he allowed another man who plead guilty to raping a teen to also not have to register as a sex offender AND suspended his sentence to just probation as well. There are apparently SIX different cases where he has done this not including this case. His name is Judge Michael Whyte and these are the case numbers where he has allowed men who have raped and abused children to go free. CR10-23-03237 CR10-21-09722 CR10-21-06045 CR10-23-03237 CR10-23-03819 CR10-24-08091 And here is the phone number to the courthouse where he works so you can leave a nice message letting them know how you feel about them employing this man :) 208-742-1673 citizens in Idaho need to be made aware of this!
