A 54-year-old Israeli man allegedly lured women to his Bangkok condo through dating apps, fed them cakes suspected of containing drugs, and secretly filmed sexual encounters.
Thai police arrested him on Friday, discovering he had overstayed his visa by 2,095 days, nearly six years.
Officers seized 15 grams of crystal meth, 50 packaging bags, a digital scale, suspected drug-laced cakes, and a phone containing numerous sexual recordings.
During the arrest, the man reportedly claimed powerful connections would secure his release within two hours. He threatened to have the entire arresting team transferred or fired and allegedly threatened to kill one officer.

🇵🇸 Israeli forces detained U.S. congressional candidate Brad Lander, alongside Palestinian farmers and dozens of foreign and Israeli activists harvesting olives in Husan, west of Bethlehem.
The group included 45 foreign and 25 Israeli activists from T’ruah, a Jewish human rights organization.
Lander was subsequently released with a warning, while the others arrested alongside him remained in detention at the time of publication.
I’ve been released from IDF custody with a “warning,” apparently because of my public profile (I told them I wasn’t even a congressmember yet, just a nominee).
But several dozen rabbis & participants harvesting olives with me are still in detention. For harvesting olives. They should all be released immediately.
To be clear: Palestinians face far worse consequences every day. These detentions by the IDF are one more attempt to undermine Palestinians’ right to harvest their olive groves, travel on their roads, and live in their homes. Yet one more element of escalating, and very clearly state-sponsored ethnic cleansing.
