He said it was politically impossible “at the moment” (you left that out) and literally said “do we have to begin the process? Yes.” (left this out too) Because it IS a process. You have to leave the ECHR, repeal the Human rights act, clear the backlog, build detention centres, get return agreements in place and rebuild enforcement… all while stopping the boats and fighting endless legal challenges.
