Will work on a Linux only project for the next year. Linux apps definitely need more taste, sensibility and ease of use

kind of cool: mistral is doing all this work with *only* 3MW of GPUs!
(3800 x 800W)
add in the rest of the infra, you're domain specific open frontier for less than 5MW!
Today, we release the weights of a new and improved Le Chonk, advancing the open frontier for agentic coding and cybersecurity.
💻 Built to build: Le Chonk ranks #1 on @cognition’s FrontierCode among open models, and sets a new benchmark for Pareto efficiency on @artificialanalysis.
🛡 Built to defend: State-of-the-art in cyberdefense, put through the paces by the world's leading cyber vendors, including @CrowdStrike, @cloudflare, @rubrik, @zscaler, and others.
Built for sovereignty: Make it yours. Download the weights on @huggingface , customize it with Mistral Forge, and deploy it wherever you need it.

EMudra is getting all the attention because rand() { return 4;} is so meme-able, but the real smoking gun is the PingCAP breach. To call it shambolic is an understatement, especially when it was known internally since 2022 and nothing was done to actually fix it.
Honestly if I were paying SF salaries for SREs only for them to copy paste client's credentials in JIRA tickets, I'd jump off a cliff

I am very, very, very bullish on commercial space in India. It will take a decade, but it's the only country with a real chance of competing alongside the U.S. and China. corememory.com/p/a-new-india…
860KB of actual code.
800M node modules,
3.2G of Next JS artifacts.
Another app in our monorepo has a 10G .next folder. God save Software Engineering from this shitshow.
Getting a reality check is good. Vishwaguru rhetoric died after USA pulled its weight in Bangaladesh regime change. GOI seems to be persuing more realistic policies now. With the eMudhra fiasco, IT supahpawah rhetoric can be replaced with a pragmatic approach to skill building

It’s called having a hobby, and people used to be encouraged to have one, but now influencer bros will judge for not maxxxxxxxxing on that, too.
A garden is never finished, either.
I wish I had the shamelessness of the American Far Right to call an (almost) mass-shooting incident "a few offensive online posts".
AGI is around the corner and you want me to try to get rich by investing a few 100 dollars a month in an ETF ?
The convo that nobody is ready for is that AI has made every "technical" moat dead , especially if you are building a wrapper over Open Source Software, so now you are basically like every luxury perfume brand competing on marketing and aesthetics.
Is there a real moat for all of these sandbox companies? Feels like everyone is pivoting and the product is always the same???
- Fast boot time
- High clock speed
- Scale up and to zero
But like beyond lightweight microVMs it feels like the technical depth is fairly shallow? Like everyone is running on the same CPUs, and you can't really optimize the actual workloads because its just random agent-generated code at runtime.
Aside from race-to-the-bottom on pricing, how do you compete?
