Herman Mashaba Says South Africa 🇿🇦 Shouldn't be Part of BRICS and Must Maintaining Strong Relations With the United States 🇺🇲
I thought he was smart, I never thought he wants South Africa to continue being puppets😩

At some point, we need to have this honest conversations about the role of BRICS towards our sovereignty.
Iran is a fully fledged member of BRICS, and it was almost wiped out, and continues to be tormented by the US, and BRICS only gave updates through their Twitter page. No Action, besides big threats from the bigger players Russia and China (protecting themselves, to avoid attacks).
It would obviously be interesting to see what happens if we leave BRICS, but subjectively I don't think it'll be much of a loss.
Does mean we know who funds @Action4SA. This is concerning....being pro- US is a concern in that it is pro-Israel. Pro-zionism is a problem, are they that different from the DA that is question - with this statement it seems they are not. True colours showing
That's why his stokvel was created pity people like @MikeRamothwala have fallen for this stokvel
Is that even true, how recent did he say that?
@HermanMashaba you have some explaining and clarifying to do, November is just around the corner. We have serious decisions to make! – at Sandton, South Africa
Yoooh, this man is genuinely one of the most embarrassing people I’ve ever seen. He should’ve just enjoyed his millions quietly instead of exposing himself like this. Now we know: debating? Finished. Making a coherent point? Missing. Expressing a thought? Somewhere in the wilderness. Sad! – at Soweto, South Africa
@HermanMashaba and @Action4SA is this true!!? Hai I am truly disappointed. You basically DA with black face mos
@Action4SA @HermanMashaba what is your stance on BRICS, the Genocide in Gaza and the USA visa policy on RSA politicians.
I don't know what to say. Before I pull my hair out let me take out my scale to weigh the two to determine which one is a better devil. in international relations, every superpower alliance comes with strings attached.
I see two different sets of risks or "devils" that must be carefully managed.
We have a Superpower USA and a Block (Super Power China plus.)
Everything comes with a STRING on both sides.
* United States: There are over 600 US companies employing approximately 148,000 locals.
* AGOA - While South Africa exports roughly $8 billion to $14.5 billion worth of goods to the U.S
* BRICS Nations: While there isn't a singular "BRICS registry," the major partners have a massive footprint.
There are over 200 Chinese companies and more than 150 Indian companies operating across South African industries, with each of these two nations having invested over $10 billion into the country.
Key insight: US development leans heavily toward public health and civil society, whereas BRICS funding is heavily concentrated on hard infrastructure, energy and transportation.
Developmental Projects
* BRICS Projects: Development is primarily routed through the New Development Bank (NDB).
In South Africa specifically, this includes several massive, sovereign-backed infrastructure initiatives, such as the uMkhomazi Water Project, the Passenger Rail Infrastructure Renewal Project, and various clean energy investments.
* US Projects: The US structures its aid through hundreds of ongoing programmatic grants rather than a set number of hard infrastructure projects, acting as South Africa's largest foreign aid donor. Through USAID and PEPFAR alone, the US has invested over $8 billion across two decades to combat HIV/AIDS and support health systems. For scale, a recent 2025 funding freeze impacted roughly 40 active USAID-funded health projects simultaneously.
He is right because China is quiet.
For the fact that China is going to visit Trump this month and also because they are attending this UN General Meeting while our politicians and Palestinian politicians are sanctioned, what's the point of this BRICS?
I need America to exit India and China.
And drop Rubio because Rubio is Chinese, not Cuban.
And support Israel and Netanyahu because we have always supported them from the start.
This Arab League is quiet and not protecting us when we take actions against Palestine butchery. China is also quiet.
What is the point?
They only move for the White race. Wthe Black man says something, he gets punished and China is quiet. It is business as usual. Even striking deals with America and Rubio.
F*ck that shit.
Leave this useless BRICS nonsense and shut the f*ck up. Let the Whites and Arabs sort out their problems there in Gaza.
@HermanMashaba is a geopolitical illiterate. It is not a zero sum game. BRICS and multipolarity is the future, and it's better for SA to be inside the tent pissing out. The US only demands vassalage and subservience. No self respecting black person should ever agree to that.
