I decided to watch a random episode of "The Streets of San Francisco," and I’m genuinely impressed by how classy the series is. It features violence that never feels gratuitous, a compelling narrative, and—most notably—superb performances from Karl Malden (I became a fan after just this one episode) and Michael Douglas, who clearly showed his potential right from the start. The two were on diverging paths in their television careers: Douglas would go on to leave the show and become an outstanding actor and producer, while Malden—bringing his film background to the project—elevated what was then considered a "lesser" medium (a TV series) to a higher standard. What’s also great is that both protagonists are intelligent, well-mannered, and firm when the situation calls for it; furthermore, the show doesn't rely on backstories to explain their current personalities or actions. In short, I’m now excited to watch the entire series from the beginning, and I’ve discovered a new actor whose career I look forward to following: Karl Malden.

King Brett.
Remembering Jeremy Brett, BOTD 1933. A young Byronic Hamlet, a dashing d'Artagnan, urbane ITC villain, Maxim of Manderley, film encounters with Audrey Hepburn...before taking on the role which he made his own, which fascinated and obsessed him, his secret sharer Sherlock Holmes.

This is two prime examples of how old actors are marvelous and above it all, they are eternal. And don't be fooled by some stupid X users bashing old school actors/actress saying they're bad or without talent. Just watch their movies and you will see how wrong those users are.

The marshall I love the most in old school TV westerns universe. Imagine how safe you would feel in the arms of such a tall, strong and manly guy like him.
James Arness as Marshal Matt Dillon on TV’s “Gunsmoke.” He appeared in all 635 episodes of the long running western between 1955 - 1975.

People will call me crazy, unusual or an oddball, but what can I do? I am watching "The Streets of San Francisco" for the first time and I am noticing that Karl Malden had a charm that I wasn't expecting to find, I don't know if it's the stern, manly and sometimes caring and loveable way he plays Mike Stone in the series. Or if it's his blue eyes, old school demeanor, or his voice that makes me feel safe when he appears, one reason or the other, the fact is that I am very interested about him and his career, and why not say I feel happy when I see him in the episodes. And I ask the fellow members if someone here sees any kind of charm and beauty in Malden?

And some will say that I am crazy but one of the most charming daddies of the 60s, 70s and 80s was Dennis Weaver and pictures like that proves it.
