Many foreigners project their own interpretations of the world onto others, so they look at Manga and can't recognize differences in viewpoint, so they find fault in the works instead. Those kinds of people don't understand expressions which are not native to their own culture.

That's one thing I really like about older anime the exaggerated expressions

Despite the early pokemon art style being more "masculine" I think the way the women were drawn back then made them look more beautiful too

I pirated manga my entire teens, and now my house looks like this
Boichi, the creator of "Dr. STONE," states the following: "Pirate manga readers ARE NOT OUR ADVERSARIES. They are our future audience. They are proof that the demand already exists." Boichi explains that many manga fans around the world still lack access to legal manga because some countries DO NOT HAVE publishing infrastructure, translation systems, or distribution networks. "Telling manga fans in those countries, 'You should buy manga,' makes no sense if they have no way to acquire it." He maintains that affordable digital manga services are key to expanding the industry globally and creating opportunities for future creators. HE TOTALLY GETS IT! 🙏

Perfectionism kills the joy of creating, understanding art technical level isn't bad but it gets to a point where it becomes intoxicating, people become afraid of making mistakes. Make anatomy mistakes, place the shadows wrong, you will enjoy drawing again once you stop caring
I wish I could be myself again

SimCity 2000 is often cited as the most beloved game in the franchise. It has its own distinct and beautiful pixel style. There’s no need to improve what is already perfect. I don’t need DLSS 5, and frankly I don’t understand the hype. I want games to stay in their original form, exactly as the people who designed them meant them to look. I don’t understand this constant need for faster, better, and more. How about slower, good enough, and less? You can also optimize things to death... (take modern customer support strategies, for example). Games are supposed to look and feel like games. They should leave the mind in a mode of interpretation and creativity. If everything starts to look hyper-realistic and lifelike, what remains to be imagined? To me, many games are a piece of art (and yes, you can disagree, that's ok). So, as such, I want them to remain in their original state, as a testament of the time and the emotions associated with them. You can call me old-fashioned, I can live with that.

I wonder if we're shifting from amusement parks to "amusement homes."

It really sucks that old games arent allowed to just *exist*. They've become templetes for the "true" or "modern" versions that are made years later and then those new versions are used as ammo to attack the original
"they're ruining the sanctity and tarnishing the art direction of Ocarina of Time" and they're talking about this
