60 years ago today, #WaltDisney went in front of the camera for the last time.
He was there to record his part of a 24- minute film explaining his vision for the 27,000 acres of land he acquired in Central Florida.
The land would eventually become #WaltDisneyWorld.
Since my departure from the televised grand spectacle, I have been thoroughly engulfed in an absolute maelstrom of relentless activity. Our peregrinations have ferried us across a multitude of exotic, ultramontane realms, wherein we experienced the profound jubilation of reconvening with long-estranged compatriots. Concurrently, I have surrendered my intellect to the voracious consumption of dense, hermetic tomes, immersing myself in the labyrinthine intricacies of highly recondite and intellectually stimulating subject matters. In a plurality of dimensions, my current state of existential industriousness vastly eclipses any prior epoch of my life. It’s been really cool.
I recently finished re-watching all the Rocky films. Thoroughly enjoyable and uplifting. Rocky reminds me to aspire to a better version of myself. I’ll likely never get to tell him in person, but thank you Mr. Stallone for Rocky Balboa.
Currently going through this audiobook. Great so far!
For your Grammy consideration, Paul Giamatti's narration of Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way Comes! 🎪
This classic is up in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category.

I wish they’d just done one good film. It’s the Beatles, not the Avengers. Could have done a tight 190 min epic that hit on key moments in their story as a band and close it out with the Apple rooftop concert in ‘69 and John’s “I hope we passed the audition.” Fade out.
Producer Pippa Harris says the four ‘BEATLES’ movies will stand alone as individual stories:
"We want people to be able to experience them in the cinema during the same period. That doesn’t necessarily mean we’re thinking that people will go and see all four films on the same day. But within the same month, you might see one a week, or you might see one on a weekend, two the next one. However you see it, I think our hope is that people will see all four films."

I’m also a ninth cousin to Marilyn Monroe, though three times removed.
Sydney Sweeney is related to Marilyn Monroe!

This is kinda the MTV “Land of Confusion” and “We Didn’t Start the Fire” version of the 80’s. It doesn’t reflect the whole picture. There was the “Walking on Sunshine” and “Never Gonna Give You Up” 80s as well. It wasn’t all trauma, there was mirth and parachute pants too.
Ryan Reynolds says ’80s nostalgia “paves over all the trauma” of the “tumultuous” decade:
“The 80s was a brutal, brutal time for people. It was a fucking mess and people forget that. It was a tremendous strife. Socio political tensions everywhere. We were still pretty fresh off a Cuban missile crisis, which was only 15-20 years before. It’s a tumultuous period, but you look back at it now and you’re like, ‘Oh, yeah. ‘Top Gun.’ Cocaine!’ Like, ‘No!’ It was really scary.”
In Apple TV’s “Mayday,” Reynolds stars as a U.S. Navy pilot who builds an unlikely friendship with an eccentric ex-KGB agent (Kenneth Branagh) obsessed with ’80s American culture.
