a reflection on a year of operating a filler for @RelayProtocol, 7.4 million settled intents and $500m+ in settled volume later. a filler is a new-ish term, and it describes the actor we run at @reservoir0x to help settle cross chain intents. i get into it in the link below :)

software no longer needs to be developed in incremental discrete steps. it can be done continuously the development, testing, and rollout can all happen automatically based on a single idea of what to change
we will need to rebuild and rewrite much of software to adapt to a new, faster pace. code used to arrive one drop at a time. soon, if not already, code will be written as if it were a continuous stream, like a violent river twisting and turning as it pleases. this is not a new thing: big tech cos have had to deal with this with the enormous scale of their engineering teams. but now ai has brought an incredibly elastic and capable workforce wielded by every engineer. this is your problem now, and the only way to adapt is to evolve your systems so agents - even and especially the ones with little context about the right way of doing things - can thrive. make the easy thing the right thing. your codebase is becoming organic architecture. agent contributions grow around the constraints and guardrails you’ve designed. good software engineering matters even more now! and no, the continuous stream of code is not something you have to watch helplessly. be more ambitious and design systems, frameworks, and languages to control the chaos. the time for mourning coding is long over

relay is not a bridge it is a mindset
Pump is bringing some of its execution infrastructure in-house. While we want to serve everyone, Relay is not a story about one app. Relay is a platform that serves thousands of developers across wallets, payments, RWAs, prediction markets, perps, and trading, all built on the same belief: people shouldn’t have to think about which chain they’re on. Users want one balance, instant execution, and zero friction. We’re making that the baseline for every onchain app, not just one. On performance, Relay offers best-in-class latency, reliability and fill rates, across 100x the scale (txs), larger orders, more routes and use cases. The data is public (dune.com/relay/fomo-pump-fun…). Two apps on Relay can see wildly different performance depending on how they’ve integrated. We’ve shipped a lot lately, so reach out and make sure you have access to all the latest and greatest. Back to building. 🫡

Great thread from Jason. A lot of us working on Relay came from CT and genuinely want to build a great product for people. We take this stuff seriously.

Genuinely everyone who was involved with sneaker bot companies have gone to work on great things. If you worked on a sneaker bo,t you needed to be as resourceful as possible or you would fall behind. And that translates to working on startups too
someone needs to write a “what is sneaker twitter?” article VCs use it as a qualifying question, yet most don’t understand this corner of the internet @jasondev0 was playing cat and mouse with shopify and talking to its CTO weekly at 13. that’s just one of many insane stories

We're hiring for our solving team. We have a small high performance team of engineers that help us shape the future of the product. If you're working on similar problems across routing, txs, onchain payments or swaps. Reach out, dms are open.
We are always looking for smart people to join us at @RelayProtocol on the solving team. If you like moving fast and working on novel problems in crypto value transfer, check out the job board in the replies for more details! feel free to send over a DM if you fill it out!

if you blinked you probably missed this, but every (useful) app is now using @RelayProtocol for their swaps and trades across same chains, cross different chains, for memecoins, stables, natives, everything. has to be one of the top (3?) most important crypto products today.
for everyone fomo is a great social trading app where they can copytrade others for me fomo is the best app to buy tokens on multiple chains onchain without wasting time to bridge

TLDR: Relay is not compromised, nor does it ever do unlimited approvals. But there is definitely heightened phishing activity that you need to watch out for. More detail: - There are phishing sites out there that send txs through our router (which is basically just a multicall contract), to try and trick people. Make sure you are on the correct domain for whichever app you are using! - Because of an uptick in this activity, Blockaid is now showing a warning on our contract to try and warn people. They've whitelisted all the major legit sites, so it won't show on those sites. So if you're seeing the warning, you are either on phishing site, or another site needs to be added to the list (let us or Blockaid know) - We are planning to update our router to make it harder for phishers to abuse. To be clear, there is no protocol or contract vulnerability. Any multicall contract is open ended by design, and can be used by an attacker to mask a malicious transaction. We will just limit what ours allows, to make harder for bad actors to piggyback on it. It won't stop people landing on phishing sites (which is the actual problem), but will minimize some of the confusion

The Relay Dashboard is live. A solo dev gets the same interface as a platform doing millions of transactions a month. Same tools. Day one. No minimum size. No queue. What's inside →
