There's never been such a strong chance of ending the obscenity of fishing in a way that not only strips the ocean of fish, it also rips out habitat the next generation of sea creatures needs to grow in - a death spiral for marine wildlife šš¾
#DYK 90% of the UK's marine protected areas still allow bottom trawling? Bulldozing the seafloor in areas that should be safe havens.
š£Ā But we FINALLY have a chance to change that.
šĀ Tell the Govt today: Itās time to REALLY protect our marine havens.

Scientists who use ecoacoustics to measure habitats and species say a profound and horrifying quiet is falling across habitats everywhere as economic activities of the capitalist era annihilate biodiversity and leave a ādeathly silenceā. Dismantle this Extinction Economy now.
Well this is frightening.
As we overheat the oceans, Blue whales are under stress and are falling silent.
They are a warning of what is to come.

Your kids can live & play without a plastic turf field.
Urge your city & school board to invest in professional management of real grass rather than on an artificial turf field that breaks down into billions of invisible particles.
#Plastic never truly disappears. It just multipliesāinto billions of invisible particles.
Theyāre in our oceans, soil & our bodies.
For #PlasticFreeJuly, ask yourself: What plastic can I live without?

No happy 4th of July for Alaska ancient trees many over 800 to thousands year old Trees
Trump is bringing huge logging machines like this to tear them all down as fast as possible
at a time when ancient Trees are our last defence against runaway global warming
This is insane
They are some of the most ancient Trees on the planet
That have stood for centuries
Many over 800 years old
But now heartless Trump will destroy millions of them
And America does nothing to stop it

Public lands are a living expression of American liberty. They are what ensures that a child from a trailer park has the same right to stand beneath a redwood as the child of a millionaire. They are the antidote to aristocracy.
And that, perhaps, is why they are under threat.

Weāre in so so SO much trouble, & pretty much every politician & journalist has just decided to ignore it.
