Deus Marginalia

Hey nerds: Vote for me. I'm in three bands (Hueón, Tauri Sb, All Glass); I run @DeusMarginalia (when it runs); and I write pretty words. leoweekly.com/2021/08/vote-f…

Is there any reason to keeping an account on this rotten website any longer?

Last year, the incomparable Thunderfeels graced the world with The Dissociation Archives, a collection of composed experiments in sounds and atmosphere. Did you hear it? Did you sleep on it? Do you hate sweet jams? Fix all that now. #BandcampFriday Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

It’s the freakin weekend, get funky and/or weird with the Cut Family Foundation! Re-read that: it’s a command statement. I’m telling you to do this now. #BandcampFriday Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

I bet you need riffs right now, you know? Something heavy to motivate you, something with some meat on it. Fortunately, morris has you covered with the kind of barnburner jams that put Harvey Milk on the map. #BandcampFriday Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

Celebrate #EmployeeAppreciationDay & #BandcampFriday with this quartet of #ambient albums by Tauri Sb. Put these on in the background, kickback, and think a few. Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…; deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…; deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…; deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

Peep this duo of covers by Louisville’s @airchrysalis420 who make music that transports you to places that are much better than you are now. FFO: #Air, #Stereolab, #Magnetic Fields Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

Get grimy af w/Electroworm by the one and only @DeafIndex. FFO of that industrial grit, Electroworm processes the internal world through brutalism and hard as hell synth work. FFO: NIN, Ministry, or Front 242. Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

Yesterday, the jury let one of the cops involved in the #BreonnaTaylor killing off on a wanton endangerment charge. These are songs for that cop and all his trashbag friends. #BandcampFriday #AllCops Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

How do you rep something that you love so much without feeling like you missed something? Listen to All Glass, a multi-layered work of synchronicity and joy featuring bombastic grooves and mellow gold. #BandcampFriday #JustListenAlready #TellAFriend Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

Get murky with Hueón, an instrumental trio committed to soundtracking your evenings. The music is such that you can feel the cool night air, the static nip that feeds you life. Pick up Anamnesis now. #NewMusic #Ambient #Indie #BandcampFriday Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

For #postrock fans, “Cabinfilm” by Dianthys is a sublime work of coiled tension, a meditation on catharsis through release. Dig the Pink Floyd feel, but stick around for the explosive and satisfying finale, the kind that would make Mogwai weep. deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…

And check out this pair of releases also featuring Guy Kelly from Dianthys. The first is Grit by Dianthys, and 2nd by Soft Scan, both masterclasses in form and style. #BandcampFriday Link: deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…; deusmarginalia.bandcamp.com/…
