Hey @DevolutionsHelp, did the ability to use Active Directory Synchronizers go away in a recent release of RDM for Mac?
1
So until recently I know I’ve been able to create the synchronizer on a windows PC but then be able to run it from my Mac successfully as I share the data source between them. If it doesn’t work, ok but 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for confirming, Jim. I checked with our RDM for Mac team leader, and according to his knowledge, Active Directory synchronizers have never been supported in RDM for Mac. Are you thinking of another feature, perhaps?

@DevolutionsHelp Hi. Is there a credential type in Remote Desktop Manager that can cache your username/password for this RDM-session only? So I can provide it once at first connection without saving it in the datastore.
1
Thanks @DevolutionsHelp ! Pretty hidden feature considering it's only available when using the cred type as my personal credential. Why isn't it available for normal username/password credential entries? Limits the caching to one instance/account.

3- With that said, there would be no problem allowing this in RDM, it is simply not currently done. If you'd like, you can make a feature request on our forum right here: forum.devolutions.net/forums…. Don't hesitate if you have any other questions! Thanks

2- The option in My Personal Credentials makes sure that most likely the credential that is saved in memory, is from "the user", and there is less chance that it is from an administrator / privileged account.

1- Hi @FrodeFlaten, At the time, we didn't see the need for an admin to put this everywhere. It is safer to put an "always ask password" on your credential and to be prompted for each use.

@DevolutionsHelp Is there a way of activating some offline mode so when I connect to restrictive VPNs I do not lose access to the cloud datasource?
1
Hi Andrés! Here are 2 documents that can help you: if it's Devolutions Online Drive: kb.devolutions.net/rdm_dod_a… or if it's Devolutions Online Database: kb.devolutions.net/rdm_how_a… . Please let me know if you can find the information you need in these 2 documents. Thank you!
