Do you even understand the concept of "school of thought" in philosophy? What do you mean by Orunmila doesn't have a "school of philosophy"? Take a book and read on African Philosophy. You can't study Yoruba metaphysics, ethics, epistemology and even logic without Orunmila.
I don’t know who told Nigerians books must always be true, but books, like any information or knowledge, can be false, misinform, contain disinformation, or mix half-truths. Orunmila isn’t academically regarded as a philosopher or as having a school of philosophy; he has teachings and stories in the Ifá corpus and oral history, with no school of philosophy or anrecorded influence or continuation of it, like Socrates.

As a Yoruba in the Obidient camp, your fellow supporters convinced you Tinubu is the problem, maybe. Now, what exactly did Awolowo do to deserve being called stupid by the same people? Or does your political loyalty require you to insult Yoruba history? Ronu o

Someone actually slid into my DM to ask me to stop posting beautiful places in Nigeria because, apparently, I am indirectly campaigning for APC and Tinubu. 🤣 So appreciating the beauty of your own country is now political campaigning? Nigeria, what have we not heard? 😂🇳🇬

Typical Obidient - just dense in their reasoning. Do you think anyone one of you can stop people from saying they support Tinubu with their full chests. If I support Tinubu, there is nothing your daddy can do about it. Many of us support and choose Sowore, Makinde, Duke etc.

Thank God you moved to Lagos, you for no see beyond your nose. Someone like you is from a state that some local governments are just getting their first General Hospital in 2025. Location really matters in destiny. No cap.
This post exemplifies why I need more people to travel which is one advantage northerners and south easterners have. Nigeria as a whole is a huge shithole but there are places where you can at least dare to dream. For example, no matter how terrible Edo State is, when you see the cars going to and fro, a child can dream. I once stayed at Nwaniba. It remained small I almost climbed a network mast like Zacheus to get network. I understood frustration regarding basic internet amenities at Uyo. Had to go to Ewet housing to see network. I've known Ekiti, Kwara and Kogi since I was a kid. Those are places that your mere being in their environs will stunt your mental growth. Some people mention farming. No be only. You want to farm in Kogi ke? You will labour for the rest of your life. Please travel. E get why. So you don't rely on one tabloid on X while your actual homeland goes to the dogs. If you've actually travelled to just Onitsha, you'll understand my point. There are no white collar jobs per se, but there's no shortage of opportunities if you want to work with your hands. Pointing out the reality isn't hatred. Travel and see so your eyes are opened.

Hi Everyone, please I need your help. I’ve battled Keloid since I was 2 as a result of the first ear piercing which was done at birth and was done wrongly. My parents have gone through several options given to them and it keeps reoccurring. I’ve done several surgical removal that I can’t even keep count both in general hospitals and private hospitals and they always finish up with kenalog as usual, I did cryotherapy for 2years with a popular Bumps clinic and the pain from the procedure almost paralyzed the left part of my body as it became weaker and I couldn’t use it, still it resurfaced. Since 2015 I’ve been in and out of the hospital over this keloid, one general hospital suggested removing the whole ear which might cause another issue as it could still grow again. I’ve been going through excruciating pains, every single day of my life I’m in pains, I’ve been popping painkillers like who’s taking candy, I barely sleep at night Most days I’m awake till morning, once it’s night I get scared cos the pains becomes unbearable. Sometimes I take sleeping pills just to get through the night. I can’t go out, I can’t even show up for my business, my parents and siblings have had to give up their finances every single year because of me. Last year November, my sister single-handedly took care of the bills for the procedure I did. At some point the Keloid started to accumulate abscess, it becomes so much that I’ve had to go through drainage process, I did one last year as well. And all of these have made the keloid very aggressive and it grows faster by the day, the last removal procedure I did was in April of last year, the growth you’re seeing in frame 1 is just 1year and 7months growth which is unusually fast. Since I finished my service year I’ve been at home because I couldn’t work with this condition, I even had to let go of a few job opportunities I was recommended for with the hope of getting this done before I fully commit. A doctor I met recommended LASUTH earlier this year and since May I’ve been trying to get booked for surgery, initially I was booked for surgery but I wasn’t told everything it entailed, my first surgery date was September 11th and it was moved later on due to the strike. I was opportuned to secure a consultation again with the Burns and Plastic unit (BPSU) yesterday in LASUTH and the consultant put me through everything I needed for the keloid to not reoccur. He said I needed at least 2 Radiotherapy sessions of which one has to be done exactly 24hrs after the surgical removal and then another few weeks after. After which I have to undergo chemotherapy and then post op care which includes injections, drugs, silicone creams, and any other recommended care. The Radiotherapy is to be done in LUTH (I was given a reference letter for it) after making enquiries in LUTH, the estimate of one radiotherapy session was given at 2.5m, and I’ll be needing 2sessions which sums up to 5m. Then the surgery for the removal of the Keloid costs 1.2m and I’ve been able to come up with that. Then after the surgery I’m to undergo chemotherapy and post op care but I have not been told how much that would cost, so I am unsure of the entire cost of that but the estimation according to what I’ve researched is about 2m. LASUTH have given me November 19th for my next and last consultation before the removal and this simply means I have to come up with the money for everything before then. So in total what will be needed for the successful surgery and post op care is 8.2m of which I’ve already raised 1.2m and I’m left to source for 7m before the 19th of November. This was really really hard for me to do as I have never done this before but this is my last resort as I have exhausted all my options and I have spent more than 6months alone trying to get booked with LASUTH. Please help me get my life back together 🙏 Any amount will go a long way🙏 0427940035 Nancy Chidinma Wema Bank

There was a time a report on foreign investments across Nigerian states was released, and Ekiti reportedly attracted just about $5000 or thereabout, can’t remember exact figure. Thug na Chief Security for APC settings. Bunch of irritants.
This is Ayodeji Akintade Ifeoluwa, popularly known as “AK,” the #CITYBOYS CSO in Ekiti State, one of the individuals we have identified as participants in the brutal assassination attempt against me and members of my team in Ado-Ekiti on October 30, 2026. To date, the @PoliceNG has not arrested him, despite the video evidence and information we have provided. Shockingly, we received information that he was in the company of police officers yesterday during Bola Ahmed Tinubu's campaign activities in Ado-Ekiti. #TinubuMustGo

The claim that Ifá was imported into Yorùbáland from Aswan, Egypt, because of its resemblance to Arabic geomancy (Al-Raml), deserves serious historical scrutiny. First, similarity is not proof of origin. The fact that two divination systems share sixteen fundamental figures, binary arrangements and geometric patterns does not automatically establish that one was borrowed from the other. Similarities can indicate cultural exchange, shared influences or independent development. Historical borrowing, however, requires evidence. Ifá is far more than a system of sixteen numerical figures. It is an extensive intellectual, literary, philosophical, religious and cosmological institution deeply embedded in Yorùbá civilisation. Its 256 Odù contain an enormous body of oral literature addressing history, ethics, medicine, governance, human relationships, spirituality and the nature of existence. Ifá must therefore be examined beyond the geometric arrangement of its divination figures. Consider the scholarship of Professor Akinwumi Ogundiran in his 2020 book, The Yorùbá: A New History. On page 147, he directly addresses claims about the Islamic origins of Ifá, describing them as unsubstantiated and questioning the assumption that similarities in geomantic numerology establish historical borrowing. William Bascom’s Ifa Divination: Communication Between Gods and Men in West Africa (1969) also provides extensive documentation of the distinctive structure, ritual practices and literary corpus of Ifá. Interestingly, Umar H. D. Danfulani’s 1997 study, Sixteen Figure Divination in Africa: Its Regional Spread and Relationship with Arab-Islamic Geomancy, examines the relationship between African sixteen-figure divination systems and Islamic geomancy. This is a subject deserving serious academic investigation, not simplistic conclusions. Now, if Ifá was imported from Aswan, several historical questions must be answered: What is the earliest dated documentary evidence establishing this transfer? Through which historical migration, trade or religious networks did it enter Yorùbáland? What linguistic evidence demonstrates that the original terminology of Ifá was borrowed from Arabic? Who were the individuals or communities responsible for introducing it? How and when was the extensive Yorùbá Ifá literary corpus developed from this supposedly imported system? There is another distinction we must understand: the possible borrowing of a divination technique does not automatically establish the borrowing of an entire religious and philosophical institution. We must distinguish between the origin of a numerical structure, the origin of a divination technique, the development of the Ifá literary corpus and the development of Ifá as a Yorùbá religious institution. These are different historical questions. I am not arguing that cultural exchanges between Yorùbáland and the wider Islamic world never occurred. They certainly did. Nor am I claiming that scholars have conclusively ruled out every possibility of Islamic influence. I am challenging the presentation of an unproven hypothesis as an established historical fact. Ifá’s written documentation by European observers in the nineteenth century does not represent its birth. It represents the beginning of a surviving written documentary record. An oral civilisation does not begin to exist merely because someone eventually writes about it. My position is simple: Ifá’s distinctive intellectual, literary, philosophical and religious identity is deeply rooted in Yorùbá civilisation. Anyone claiming that the entire institution was imported from Aswan must demonstrate that claim with archaeological, linguistic, documentary and historical evidence. Geometric resemblance alone is insufficient. We must investigate history, not manufacture it to accommodate religious convictions. Àṣẹ!
“YORÙBÁ DID NOT OWN IFÁ. THEY LEARNT IT!” SHAYKH DROPS A HISTORICAL BOMBSHELL! 🔥 This is not your regular lecture. Dr. Shaykh Imran Eleha has come out swinging, challenging the historical origins of Ifá and confronting those who, in his view, confidently make claims without adequately researching their own history. His position is unequivocal: Ifá was imported into Yorùbá land; it did not originate with the Yorùbá people. He draws comparisons between Ifá and Al-Raml (geomancy), points towards the people of Misr (Egypt), particularly the Aswān and Nubian regions, and insists that the Yorùbá people adopted a practice that already existed elsewhere. And for those questioning his authority to speak, he reminds them that he has spent approximately 40 years learning and researching, and has not stopped studying. But perhaps the most provocative part? His categorical assertion that the Yorùbá had no prophet, book or miracles of their own. He even directs his audience to Samuel Johnson's The History of the Yorubas, challenging everyone to investigate what was written about the introduction of Ifá into Yorùbá land. 🎙️ Dr. Sheikh Imran Abdul-Majeed Eleha Language: Yoruba

"The truth of a Muslim's belief does not become false simply because others hold different beliefs and convictions." How come Muslims apply different logic when it comes to Odu-Ifa and Isese? Why are they trying to force down their version of its origin down people's throats?
There is no religion or system of belief that is older than Islam. This is an established truth within the Islamic worldview and a fundamental conviction of the Muslim faith. Others may hold different views, and that is perfectly legitimate. The truth of a Muslim's belief does not become false simply because others hold different beliefs and convictions. Every individual has the right to make their choices, embrace their convictions, and stand firmly by what they believe. Respect for religious diversity does not require anyone to abandon the truth claims of their own faith. We can disagree without being disrespectful.

It’s as simple as this: IFA is wisdom. I mean, you don’t even need to be a worshipper to study and gain wisdom from it. The wisdom in Ifa literary corpus is timeless and full. The lessons and knowledge are still perfectly applicable in today’s world. It can rival any system from any part of the world. The respect should double because this was the greatest evidence of the wisdom of our ancestors.
Btw, there’s hardly anything Islam or Christianity wants to teach you about living a good and meaningful life that isn’t already deeply embedded in the Omoluabi way of life. Infact when you net-off the violent behaviors of those Foreign Gods, it should be less preferred really. If you don’t appreciate the Yoruba Traditional system, the least you can do is to respect it for what it is. It is a sophisticated, indigenous philosophical, ethical and cultural system that deserves to be understood on its own terms.

You may not know that your Allah didn't invent the 5 daily prayers. Muhammad adopted the practice from Zoroastrianism and Judaism. You may also not know that your Allah didn't invent the 30-day Ramadan fast. Muhammed copied it from Harranian religion who were MOON worshippers.
Yoruba did not invent Ifa. They imported it. Before you let your emotions take over, calm yourself down. The original name of this system was ʿIlm al-Raml, The Science of Sand. It was developed by Black populations in Aswan and the Nile Valley long before it ever reached West Africa. The whole framework is pure binary mathematics. It uses a base of 16 figures that multiply out into 256 probabilities. This is what Yoruba people call the 256 Odu. If you want to know, go and read the historical manuscripts of North African scholars especially that of Shaykh Abdallah al-Zanati. He documented this binary science centuries ago. Every single one of the 16 primary Odu in Ifa has a direct Arabic mathematical equivalent in Zanati’s records. The figure the Arabs called Tariq is what the Yoruba call Ogbe. The figure they called Jama'a is what the Yoruba call Oyeku. The mathematical coding is identical. You cannot debate this. When ancient people migrated from the Nubian corridors and Arab Trans-Saharan trade routes opened up, Islamic scholars and merchants brought this architectural blueprint with them into West Africa. The Yoruba are genius custodians. They assimilated it brilliantly. They mapped this imported Arab-transmitted science onto their own indigenous cosmology, attributed it to Orunmila, and named it Ifa. But being a great preserver is not the same as being the originator. This is why you find the very same system everywhere along those migration routes. The Fon call it Fa. The Ewe call it Afa. In Madagascar it is Sikidy. The medieval Europeans even copied it and translated the Arabic name into Geomancy. If we have been quiet about this, it does not mean we do not know. History does not care about modern sentiments. By historical origin and transmission, Ifa is Esin Arabu. The blueprint came from Aswan and arrived through Arab corridors. Facts don’t lie. Allah knows best.

He’s claiming to be stating historical fact about other peoples beliefs but if someone bring out historical documented proof of his prophet getting married to a child, they started calling for an arrest or death with their sharia law. That’s not peace to me, it’s disaster!
You are always turning everything into a religious fight even if it is not a religious matter. First of all, I didn’t violate the verse you quoted. The verse you quoted Quran 6:108, warns against insulting the gods other people worship. Please go back and read my writeup. Show me a single insult there. Stating the documented historical migration of an Arab mathematical science is not an abuse. It is just a historical fact. I just opened people’s eyes to the history they are not informed about. Educating people on history is not a violation of that verse. You claim the Yoruba exported Ifa to the world. That is not what history says. The Yoruba imported ʿIlm al-Raml through Arab trade routes, localized it, and became its greatest preservers. They are the greatest preservers for sure. I agree. And when you brought up UNESCO, you are not telling the real truth. UNESCO recognizes Yoruba for preserving the oral traditions and the rich poetry of the system. They do not claim the Yoruba invented the 16 figure binary mathematics. The architectural blueprint came from Aswan.  Being a preserver is different from being an originator. This is what the whole post is all about. No insults. Just pure historical facts. Now you are talking about hostile reactions and retaliation out of spite just because a historical origin was shared. We do not need to threaten each other over history. The facts are there in the open for anyone to study. Stating the documented origin of a system is not sanctimonious religious chauvinism. It is pure education.  You cannot use emotional threats to erase documented history. Again, facts don’t lie.
