For people angry at this... it was Michkov's fourth straight 1-min + shift and both his shifts to start the 2nd period over 1-min... Rick Tocchet has highlighted the extended shifts, not just Michkov, being an issue and changing when you can the past few games. That was case & point right there, especially in long change 2nd period where Michkov eventually iced the puck and made the shift twice as worse

Travis Konecny scores here in practice. He’s in non-contact jersey, but he has really pushed it and tested out some contact. Got to think it has been killing him to be out during this stretch. He has missed last 10 games with lower-body injury.

🚨Matvei Michkov has tripled his goal output compared to the same time last season. 40+ goal pace! 🚨His 5 power play goals put him tied for second in the entire NHL. But he also leads all PHI fwds in % of O-Zone starts and has the fewest % in D-Zone starts. He is -9 and is 2nd worst of the fwds in 5on5 on-ice goal differential -6. As long as he keeps scoring it helps mask the defensive liabilities.
