It's alive!! And it's on Devpost 👻
Our annual kiroween hackathon is here, and submissions are officially open. 🎃
Last year, thousands of devs used kiro to bring dead tech back to life. Now it's your turn. Enter if you dare.
$100k in cash prizes for students, startups, seasoned devs, and everyone in between. Builds due dec 4.
👻Git commit to the darkness → kiroween.devpost.com
If you needed weekend plans, we've got a hackathon for you! 😎 What will you build?
Devs, Lens builders, and the AR-curious: turn ideas into reality faster than ever with the Learn AR with @SPECS hackathon on @Devpost!
Using the CLAD plugin in Lens Studio, simply describe your Lens, let the AI coding agent build it, and test directly in the preview. No hardware required.
We’re offering $2,500 in prizes, with submissions closing November 9.
Kiroween submissions are open, right in time for the spooky weekend 👻 Build something wicked with @kirodotdev and compete for $100,000 in prizes. Bring dead tech back to life, stitch incompatible tech into one app, or create some truly haunting UI!
New to Kiro? Build with specs, agent hooks, steering docs, or MCP and summon some new skills.
What will you bring to life? bit.ly/kiroween26t

Today at 12 PM ET (9 AM PT): Build for @specs .
We'll build a lens live in Lens Studio with CLAD and an AI coding agent. You make the design calls, it writes the code.
No SPECS hardware needed. Everything runs in the Lens Studio preview. See you there!

Hackathon judges have about 3 minutes with your project.
What actually happens in those 3 minutes? 🤔
I'm hosting an X Space this Friday to find out, with people who have judged, mentored and run hackathons:
@andrewdmaclean Staff Developer Educator at Twilio
@colleencodes Developer Advocate at GitLab
@JamesSwintonDev DevRel Lead at AG Grid
@CCafeo Community at nocodeops by Zapier
@FrancescoCiull4 Head of DevRel at Zerops
@adityaoberai DevRel Lead at Appwrite
⏰ Friday 30 October, 4pm UK (12pm ET / 9am PT)
🎤 Audio only, no camera, no slides
We'll cover judging, demos and the stuff nobody tells you. Like why the project with the best code doesn't always win.
If you've won (or lost) a hackathon, come up and tell us how 👀.
Over 2 weeks remaining on the @paypaldev hackathon with $60k+ cash prizes!

12 years at Amazon and Adobe figuring out what needed to be built. Never once built it myself.
Left in July to follow my curiosity and spend time with my daughter. Built Leadsy solo in 15 days, from idea to a working AI system, on Google Cloud, which I barely knew. Most of it got built while she was asleep or at her grandparents.
It just won Best Architecture at Google's All Things Agentic Hackathon. Around 12,000 builders entered.
I dont think engineering got easy. I think if you know the problem and you're curious enough, you can go way further alone than you could a couple years ago.

Congrats on an amazing win! 👏 Truly inspirational

Submitting ScopeLock to the @devpost Build With AI Hackathon: deterministic scope creep protection for freelance devs & software teams.
Freelancers don't lose money on big disputes. They lose it on casual 1-line Slack messages asking for 'one quick thing.'

We (@raina_sai and I) are bringing Kahani to your TVs for the @AmazonAppDev @devpost build ship shape hack 🧑🍳
Initially it was a simple weekend build to see if 'stories can listen to you' and still end with a moral.
And after over 170 commits... we are SOO close to bringing it to everyone
What stories have you always wanted to change?
We'll release the invite code tomorrow after submission, so you can make your own stories 🧙
Just asking anyone who has a fire tv stick with them in my circle 😭
Just to make the demo worth it.
@AmazonAppDev team is really helpful btw, they've been doing office hours w @EmersonSklar @giolaq and others.
I have learnt so much already about app builds on TVs,
differences between different OSs, relays to deliver the streams faster (have feedbacks for @reactorworld which I'm gonna share with them soon)
A little hint for the judges, imagine if your words could change the world you're seeing, but still the world ends with a moral 🧑🍳
App so worth it that I'm talking to my orchestrator over phone when I'm not at my desk.
Meet GhostQ, built for the Qloo Agentic Hackathon on @devpost.
Pick an artist. The Ghost reads what their fans love from @qloo taste data and writes them an original song, a receipt on every line. Add a feat., remix it, sing along.

I just submitted DayWell to @devpost Build With AI: Basics
We spend hours at our desk writing, building and running communities.
You'd look up and realise 3 hours had passed. No stretch. No water.
Your back and eyes were paying for it.
Most break apps just nag you on a fixed timer, whether you were actually at your desk or not.
So I built DayWell.
It measures how long you've *really* been at your computer, credits breaks automatically when you step away, and gently nudges you to move, hydrate and stretch.
✅ No sign-up
✅ No guilt-tripping
✅ Nothing leaves your device
✅ Installs like an app on phone or desktop
How I built it:
I used Devpost's Skill Pack "flipped interaction" approach.
Instead of telling the AI what to code, I let it interview me first about the problem, my habits and privacy.
We wrote the plan, then built it step by step with @DevinAI
Biggest lesson: plan before you prompt. It changes everything.
Your chair called. It wants a break 👇

📦 NVIDIA did it first, now we are releasing 2,600+ free game-ready 3D models (+200 each week). For good.
🎛️ Each model is a program, with parameters you can tweak to customize look, state, season, color, wear, etc.
All thanks to the $500,000 in funding we received from @xprize and @GeminiApp and all of our early individual funders, thank you all!
Go build.

NVIDIA just put 2,575 simulation-ready 3D assets on Hugging Face 🤯
A 472GB collection covering everyday objects, tools and industrial equipment.
It’s called NVIDIA SimReady Assets. The models include physics settings and semantic labels for use in simulated environments.
- Train robots to pick up and move objects
- Build virtual factories and warehouses
- Generate labelled training images
- Populate 3D scenes with ready-made objects
Useful for robotics research, digital twins and anyone building detailed virtual environments.
