Humbug: The Elf Who Saved Christmas by @sbutlerbooks is the most joyful read - and it's my pick of the week in today's Sun. A big shout out to Dirty Briefs by @Dfendem too. If you love books based on real life experiences, this is the one for you.
It is humbling that such a well regarded publication as The Solicitors Journal has shown interest in my book 'Dirty Briefs' despite its outlandishness. Thank you!
'Dirty Briefs' by Dave Fendem is available online and at all good bookshops.

Have just (finally) finished reading @DFendem's eye-opening book #DirtyBriefs. If you are in law (whichever side of the profession) or are interested in a career in law, or care about our criminal justice system - you need to read it. It will tickle and appal you. #MustRead
'Dirty Briefs' by Dave Fendem is a proudly non political tour of the circus we call the criminal justice system. Marvel at the shocking and outrageous acts of defendants, barristers, judges, police and the insane.
Available at all good bookshops and here:

Absent a bus under which to throw them or a river down which to sell them, wealthier members of the criminal bar resolve to keep fighting for the future of junior barristers.
The strike is over.

Delighted to see a review in such a formidable publication. Touched that it mentions merely sailing close to the wind. I thought I'd hit the harbour wall!

Great book! Insightful, irreverent and very, very funny. Looking forward to the next one...?Dirtier Briefs..😳😅😊
As criminal barristers consider ending the strike, pray their dysfunction doesn't improve, nor the behaviour of judges, criminals, police officers and the mentally ill - I'd have nothing to write about!

What do we think? Salvation of the criminal justice system or turkeys voting for christmas?

Many criminal barrister's wages barely cover daily expenses. After a cut of 28%,the government offer is to reduce that cut to 13%. With the pound worth 15% less than when the strike started, we will be left with the same 28% cut. Emperor's new clothes?
