Thereβs no taking anything away from Falkirk. Theyβre a good side. However, the way Hearts are playing, weβre not even giving them a challenge. I can see this being another high-score humping.
I used to post regularly on here, but Iβve had a touch of posting paralysis lately. Iβm not sure why. Itβs like I feel that if my words donβt have a purpose, then thereβs no point in sharing them. I dunno. Iβve been spending too much time inside my head.
Anyway, this is a post about absolutely nothing to attempt to break the posting paralysis and get back into the habit of writing stuff.
If you read this post about absolutely nothing, thanks for your support π
Sunday stroll with Maximus dog and Rattus Norvegicus (Stranglers).
Off to running club training soon. First session weβve ever had on a Sunday.
Have a good day, folks!
This sounds fucking awful.
A bit early for April Fools.
Spotify just announced a feature that could either save the music industry or destroy it.
Starting as early as Q1 2027, Spotify Premium subscribers will be able to use AI to transform any participating artistβs song into a completely different version. Turn a folk ballad into a dance track. Make a hip-hop song sound acoustic. Generate a cover where one artistβs voice performs another artistβs song. Remix a pop hit into lo-fi study music. Create the version of your favorite song that only existed in your head until now.
The remixes will be uploaded directly to Spotify. Theyβll appear in playlists. Theyβll count toward the original songβs chart position. And most importantly the original artist will earn royalties every time someone listens to a fan-created remix of their work.
Spotify has already signed a landmark licensing deal with Universal Music Group the worldβs largest record label. Negotiations with Sony Music and Warner Music are ongoing. The feature will cost an additional $4β$5/month on top of Spotify Premium. And analysts project 7β8% of American subscribers will adopt it by 2028.
This is not Suno or Udio generating music from text prompts. This is fans remixing real songs by real artists with the artistsβ permission, on the worldβs largest streaming platform, with royalties flowing back to the creators.
A music industry analyst whoβs covered streaming economics for 15 years told her team something after reading the licensing agreement that reframed how she understood the future of recorded music.
βSpotify just turned 640 million listeners into 640 million potential remixers. The question isnβt whether people will use it they will. The question is whether paying artists for fan remixes solves the economics of streaming or creates a world where the original recording is worth less than the infinite remixes generated from it.β
Hereβs what Spotifyβs AI remix feature actually is, who wins, who loses, and why this might be the most consequential decision in the music industry since the launch of streaming itself π§΅
In 2026, is it wise to admit Iβm not a robot?
Robots do some jobs well.
Suddenly feeling very inadequate.
Gym β
Felt like a Muse kind of day.
Supermassive Black Hole is one of the sexiest songs ever recorded, but the lyrics of Invincible spoke to me today like they never have before:
During the struggle they will pull us down,
Please, please letβs use this chance to turn things around,
and tonight we can truly say
TOGETHER WEβRE INVINCIBLE.
Good morning.
Just letting yβall know that Iβm going on a liking spree to (hopefully) reset my algorithm so if you get a few likes from me, Iβm not a stalker or a bot, Iβm trying to restore my feed.
And, I genuinely like your post.
Is anyone elseβs feed awash with celebrity gossip?
Itβs not what I used to see and canβt think of what I looked at that would tweak my algorithm.
Bring back the running and gym stuff!
Double gym β
Push session then treadmill.
Continued my current Clash obsession with Sandinista!
Setting the tone for the rest of the day. Have a good one, folks π
A leap of faith.
I couldnβt jump high enough to grab hold of the handles. This time. Doesnβt mean I wonβt try again.
As with life, if at first you donβt succeed, try and try again.
