First, share their voices. In a time when even speaking puts women at risk, being heard means hope, visibility, and survival.
Second, support our online education program. Despite fear and restrictions, Afghan girls are secretly continuing their studies. You can help by sponsoring internet access so students can attend online classes, or by volunteering as a teacher and sharing your knowledge with girls who have been denied education.
This month and next month, our focus is on one of our students who urgently needs surgery. You can read her story on our GoFundMe page and help if you are able.
We have also launched a new initiative called Sister Care, which supports 20 vulnerable women, who live inside Afghanistan. Please read about this new initiative, share your feedback and ideas, and support it if you can.
Third, support food aid or urgent medical assistance for widows and women living alone who have no male provider in the household and are often too afraid to go outside.

Afghan girls and women in Iran gathered outside the Taliban groups embassy in support of the women of Herat, chanting: “Work, Education, Freedom.”
They expressed solidarity with Afghan women and called for global support for women’s rights and dignity.

Today, women in Afghanistan are being shot in the streets simply for anting an education, wanting a job. Wanting to work and wanting to walk outside without a man's permission.
Taliban security forces killed one person and several wounded. Dozens arrested including women and girls.
It started last Friday, when Taliban imams announced from mosque loudspeakers that women were forbidden from leaving their homes without full hijab, including face cover.
Morality police flooded Herat's streets, markets, and shopping centers, batons in hand, arresting women for their clothing.
Just one day after some men in the West rolled out the red carpet for the Taliban, normalizing them, legitimizing them, shaking their hands, you can see how savagely women being shot and beaten up in the streets.
This is a total betrayal…Do not even dare to speak on behalf of wounded women.
An Afghan man, perfect English, telling you women in Afghanistan are fine. Just fine. Don't worry.
This is not nuance. This is normalization. This is normalizing Taliban.
Let’s women in Afghanistan talk.
