What happened when the quietest child in the room got involved with esports?
One teacher told us about a student who joined in September: “Really, really quiet. Low-key.” At our Regional Qualifier in Newcastle, he spent half an hour commentating.

Gaming is an increasingly important part of family life, but navigating it isn’t always easy for parents.
Digital Schoolhouse are absolutely delighted to be featured in Family Gaming Database 's free Parents’ Guide to Gaming with Confidence, in association with @NintendoUK.
If parents can feel more informed about everything from age ratings and online safety to screen time and parental controls, then we can all play together.

What's the secret to winning in esports?
We let the pupils who took part in our Senior esports tournament give you their thoughts.
#DigitalSchoolhouse
It's fun.
There's no way getting around it: one of the best things about our schools esports is the joy it brings to the pupils.
Making friendships across year groups, bonding with people by competing and having great times together that they will remember for years.
Is there anything better than seeing pupils having fun? We don't think so.
Get this for your pupils - the link to sign up for our Senior Esports tournament is in the first comment.

Teachers are busy and schools are under budget pressure like never before. 😤
And teachers being teachers they put the children first and Teacher's Professional Development time is being squeezed. ⏲️
So Digital Schoolhouse is stepping in to help.
Every month we will be releasing a free CPD video for Computing teachers on our YouTube channel, which teachers can access anywhere. This, alongside our three Ingenuity Days a year and annual Playful Computing Conference, is part of our commitment to upskill Computing teachers despite all of the challenges. 🎓
To start we have the incredible Professor Michael Kölling talking about coding and how to teach it in school.

What happens when a tournament venue closes two days before the event?
Despite disruptions in Leicester and London this year, in-person attendance at our Regional Qualifiers actually grew - from 77% to 81% - and 195 students still took part directly across all seven cities.

We asked every teacher who worked with us this year one question: would you recommend Digital Schoolhouse to a colleague?
100% said yes. 💯

This year we launched Mission 2030 - a commitment to reach every school in the UK by the end of the decade.
We're already most of the way there: our network covers 77% of UK schools, and in 2025-26 alone we reached 48,130 children across 613 schools.
This brings our total reach to 403,575 students and 27,963 teachers.
Big numbers, big impact and one goal - to make sure every child has a digital future.
