Ramayana: Rise of a Legend Review
A timeless epic gets the “Part 1” treatment in a mechanical adaptation. Boring, lifeless, ugly. ign.com/articles/ramayana-ri…

#Ramayana reviews
1. Screen Rant: An impressive cinematic achievement.
2. Next Best Picture: feels stuffed, might’ve needed a "GOT"-level television adaptation to flesh out its narrative fully. (Though he liked Soundtrack!??)
3. IndieWire (the only top critic): Calling “Ramayana” epic may be a cliche, but there’s really no other word that would suffice.
4. IGN (rabbid guy): Clunky action, eye-sore CGI
Till now only 4 reviews have came out on rotten tomatoes.

I honestly didn't even notice this AI dubbing that Siddhant is complaining about. I even asked the filmmakers about it, since I assumed they had the cast do every scene twice.

Man who hated Ram Mandir, is bound to hate the story of Ram
With Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, a majestic epic falls victim to clunky action, eye-sore CGI, and awkward AI lip-syncing in what is, unfortunately, just a Part 1.

Indiewire's review of #Ramayana 🤯:
- "There are moments when Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey looks like 'My Dinner with Andre' by comparison."
- "Ramayana contains dozens of moments that would each be the climax of another film."
- "Calling Ramayana epic may be a cliche, but there’s really no other word that would suffice."

EXCLUSIVE : Finally #Ramayana distribution sharing terms have been finalised with the other cinema chains as well.
The prolonged negotiations appear to have finally reached a conclusion.

Dear @DharmaMovies I understand that you are protecting your commercial interests and seeking fair returns on a Magnum Opus #Ramayana But somewhere these prolonged negotiations are risking the film full BO potential.
A few points worth considering:
- If standard terms have been agreed upon with the National Chains, why should Non National Chains, independent cinemas and single screens face a different battle to secure fair terms?
- The playing field is not equal. National Chains have multiple properties to balance their business across, while independent exhibitors and single screens often depend on individual properties to sustain their operations. One underperforming film can have a significant financial impact on them.
- A film of #Ramayana scale needs a united exhibition sector. Every cinema matters, especially in Tier 2, 3 and 4 markets, where audiences are eagerly waiting for advance bookings to open so they can plan a family outing for this Magnum Opus.
The objective should be to maximise #Ramayana reach and box office potential, not limit its accessibility because of commercial disagreements.
We understand that producers and distributors face losses too sometimes, but cinema exhibition is equally challenging, with the vast majority around 80-90% of films failing at the box office.
My humble request to #Dharma Find a fair middle ground, finalise mutually acceptable terms and open advance bookings at the earliest.
Fair terms today mean a stronger exhibition industry tomorrow. Let’s not put the future of cinemas at risk while trying to maximise returns from one film.
